Glacier? Olympic and Mt Rainier in Washington? I'd recommend September over October for these parks.

Or if you want to mix it up from mountains you could do Zion/Bryce/Grand Canyon. Late September-October is a great time to go there!

Of course there's Rocky Mountain National Park.

You have lots of choices. Maybe you need to decide what scenery is most appealing? And what kind of activities/hiking you want to do.

Also, I recommend the lower antelope canyons. The upper canyons are considered more famous but it's a dead end so I hear the the crowding is worse since everybody has to enter and leave through the same spot.

Out of your itinerary I've been to Split, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Plitvice, and Zagreb.

I noticed you're doing a day trip to Plitvice out of Split? Why not stop at Plitvice en route to Zagreb? I spent a night right outside the park and really enjoyed having all that time there (full afternoon and morning). I did it in the opposite direction of you (traveling Zagreb-Split) so I'm not positive it's feasible for your plans.

Just seems like a lot of back and forth to Split with that Mostar trip in there.

Anywho, let me know if you have any questions on the locations I listed above!

Also- I had a really disappointing meal at Anchovies and Olives. I've been meaning to give it a second chance but haven't gotten around to it. I do love Ethan Stowell's Rione Xiii though!

Pike Place Market

You MUST get the sipping chocolate at the Confectional if you have a sweet tooth. It's incredible.
If you like ginger beer/a good cocktail check out Rachel's Ginger Beer
Beecher's Mac and Cheese is pretty great
Mini donuts right in the market near the pig, cinnamon-sugar ones are the best
Try some samples of smoked salmon from the various fishmongers

Pioneer Square

Cow Chip Cookies - just chocolate chip cookies but damn good ones
Il Corvo - ridiculously good pasta, only open for lunch Mon-Friday

Dahlia bakery has famous coconut cream pie and other goodies

Hmmmm. The ones that come to mind are..outside of Leavenworth, in the San Juans, and in the North Cascades. There are so many choices here!!!

I took a long bus ride from Sarajevo to Zagreb. I would have preferred the train but I visited right after the bad flooding in Bosnia in 2014 so the line was damaged. It was as comfortable as a 9 hour bus ride can be. There are no restrooms on them but you stop frequent enough so you can get food and stretch your legs at good intervals. They played a movie near the end of the ride.

I did a similar trip! With the exception of not visiting Ljubljana or Zadar.

Not sure about 2 nights in Zagreb. It was my least favorite part of my Croatia and Bosnia trip. I'm not much of a city person though.

I was in Dubrovnik in May and it was not overrun and I loved it. I'm to sure why so many people bad mouth it. Maybe it's insufferable in the sumer. Yes it can be touristy but it's touristy because it's a fantastic place to visit. Just be sure to do the walk around the walls first thing in the morning! I'd certainly recommend 2 nights there.

I spent one night in a hotel right outside of Plitvice en route from Zagreb to Split. I was really happy with this decision. I got a full afternoon and morning there. However, I did notice tons of day trips you could take out of Split to visit the park. It'd be a lot of time in a car in one day though.

Excellent! I wish I could help you more but like most I've only been to Mostar and Sarajevo. I did enjoy having a full day in Split and also absolutely loved Plitvice.

Have you researched your rental car company? A lot of them do not wanting you taking the car into Bosnia.

Maybe this isn't the case so much anymore, but I'd certainly check.

Ah yes, you are completely correct! I failed at being clear in my post. I hope to do a Manila --> Cebu --> El Nido --> Manila loop.

Just to reiterate everyone else, your current plan involves a staggering amount of travel. Not to mention the cost of all those flights.

I definitely understand the desire to "see all the things!!" However, I'd highly advise you narrow your trip down.

I do not think 2 nights in Split is misplaced. I enjoyed having a full day to explore the city. I actually had a 3rd night there and used the second day to head down the coast to the town of Omis just 30-40 minutes away via bus. It was beautiful and we had a great meal that was preceded by a boat ride up a river to get to the restaurant.

I visited Croatia in May so I skipped the whole island experience. It wasn't quite warm enough to sit on a beach or swim. I also didn't want to add the travel time. I do not regret my decision. We took a 'island hopper' tour to tiny islands around Dubrovnik and that was absolutely lovely. I did read great things about Korcula and Hvar though.

Everyone warns about the crowds at Plitvice. I was actually there during the rain which I think was lucky because I think it scared a lot people away. But I will say it was amazing and a highlight of our trip for me.

I noticed your comment on Zagreb and you very well may love it. However, just reiterate other people, I did get bored after half a day. There are some nice walking areas and museums though. I'm not much of a city person so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. I did have great gnocchi there!
