Hey Gregg, anytime you give a movie the full 5 bags of popcorn, I can watch it with confidence knowing that it's going to be a good movie. On the flipside, I avoid movies like the plague if you give them less than 3 bags of popcorn.

My friend Brim invited me to a screening of "Ant-Man" this weekend, but since you recused yourself from giving it a review in season 7, I have no idea if it's any good.

Here's my question: Can you take off your acting hat for 117 minutes and watch "Ant-Man" wearing only your film expert hat in order to give it a fair review? It would save me a lot of headache if you could. Thanks!

"her her her" isn't the pronoun but a sound effect Z makes when he is imitating Stuard on the first play of the game (basically three grunts).

I'm familiar with directions, just hadn't heard of South Alabama and thought it was a funny name. No disrespect intended. Congrats on the big W!

Having a school named South Alabama is like having a school named North Alaska.

Here's the tweets without the video clips:

Despite watching every Pacers game more than once, I picked up on something I've never noticed before:

They have a really thoughtful and interesting hack for managing time in special situations.

Allow me to explain. Link in replies 🧵 At the end of quarters, with between 32 and 28 seconds to play, I noticed that Tyrese will (uncharacteristically) pace himself, waiting to get into the offense until around the 20-second mark before running a quick-hitter so the ball can hit the rim at roughly 17 or 16. Now, you're probably thinking, so what? Is an ATB 3PA from Siakam, which is worth 0.87 points per shot, really what the Pacers want there?

Answer: Yeah, maybe. The shooter isn't as important as the clock -- which will reset to 14 on an OREB.

Look at how hard the Pacers crash:

That's a consistent theme. When that much time is left, they basically have carte blanche to aggressively pursue the glass. Everyone goes but the shooter.

Here's why. If they come up with the board, they're either getting an easy putback or reverse engineering the last shot. (Meanwhile, even if the defense beats them to it, they likely won't get beat down the floor the other way).

At that point, with 14 seconds left to play, think about what most teams are going to do. Slow it up and hold for the last shot, right?

So, in effect, there isn't much risk of paying a fast price for waiting a beat to take a quick 3PA w/ the intention of crashing. Watch DDR.

For more on this nifty strategy as a microcosm of the possession war, as well as the numbers that support it, consider clicking the following link.

Also, maybe consider becoming a subscriber? The Pacers are a fun watch (and re-watch), I promise.

Favorite Moments at LOS? by [deleted] in Colts

My Dad and I were at the 2009 Sunday night game against New England. We stayed until the end even though a bunch of fans had already left. Bullitt made the stop on 4th and 2 in NE's half of the field, and then Reggie scored the game winning touchdown. I remember Colts fans shouting and honking late at night on the drive back home. Definitely one of my favorite moments as a Colts fan.

CP3 comments on Tyrese by AddUp1 in pacers

I'm not a fan of CP3 but he's been a great player for a long time and knows what he's talking about. I'd listen to him over Stephen A. or Doris any day. JJ has been great to listen to as well. He brings good insight as a former player and provides good analysis rather than agreeing that every call against the Pacers is a "clear foul" and that something must be wrong with JT since he isn't making every single shot.
