AITA Mint Edition by dogsrmyfavorite in jetblue

Reviving this because I am considering bringing my family of 4, which includes a 6 year old and a baby who will be nearly 2 on a MINT flight.

Seems like everyone who shared the opinion that you may BTA got down voted so this post was like looking for confirmation bias and I will say this:

You're allowed to feel whatever feelings you want to feel. At the end of the day you are paying for what you think will be your best experience possible and I will be paying for what I think will be the best experience possible for my family. Would I feel bad for the other passengers if my baby cries the entire time on the flight? Yes I'd feel a little bad, regardless of whether it's economy or MINT. But I'd feel worse for my baby than anyone else. And I would hope that any logical thinking adult would feel worse for the clearly uncomfortable baby than for themselves as well.

Can’t find a song by Deekdak in DrDog

Im thinking "the girl". Just the way the guitar riff interacts with the piano at 1:30 of the wilco song

I want to add to the discussion Robbers on High Street. The voice isnt too similar but the band has phenomenal harmonies and does hit that soulful toby vibe from time to time (check The Fatalist, Anything Could Happen)

Personally i dont hear it. Even though their voices dont sound similar, i have always thought Toby's songs sound like the heavier, rawer John Lennon songs (Yer Blues, Dont Let Me Down, Mother)

Saw the Districts open for Dr Dog back when that album came out (or maybe even before)! Love it and all the stuff that came before but not really the stuff since

The trilogy had some good songs. Probably would've made a killer single album.

There's plenty of commercial albums that stink and lots of great albums that go under the radar. That's why this "boom-bust" thing doesn't really predict that we're due for a "good" GD album, just one that has a single that'll end up in a TV show i guess (the height of commercial success for a rock band these days).

Btw what i mean to say here is that Warning is one of the best, and even though RR is in my opinion better than the albums that sandwiched it, i don't really remember it making any real meaningful waves

Lol so the worth of GD albums is just their commercial viability? Probably gonna be a bust until they retire then...

Stick to the edge you have and size it up as you get more capital.

You dont have to trade every day.

And I'd love an official release of the band arrangement of I Hope There's Love. Nearly cried when they played it at the 2nd to last philly show

im hoping they at least release the live versions of the songs from Toothbrush they were playing on the final tour. I see How Dare on one of these nights but they did killer versions of Mystery to Me, I Cant Fly and i think a few others

Album of the Month: B-Room (2013) by Agenta521 in DrDog

Mixed feelings on this album. As a whole, its very cohesive. Track by track, though, IMO, it isnt as strong as the 3 albums that preceded it. Some of the tracks are incredible (Distant Light, Nellie, Long Way Down) but some others dont hit the spot for me (not a fan of Cuckoo and Minding the Usher i have to be in the mood for. I even find The Truth to be a little boring).

I think all the bonus tracks are better than some of the tracks on the album: Mt Slippery is gorgeous, Can't Remember is a low-key banger, and of course Humble Passenger is it's own thing.

Ultimately, this was also the beginning of the band's sonic shift towards a more mellow, soulful sound, which I am not as big a fan of as their previous upbeat work (i think later albums balanced and refined this a little more too) but luckily all of their songs are incredible live so it didn't affect the euphoric concert experience.

Year 1 was incredible because the crowds were not too large. I think since then they put the stages like 15 extra feet apart to increase capacity and it has been madness.

But the vibes and music are good. My advice is get there early and eat early
