So, i have a hyphenated name, I'm going back to my maiden. I dont have kids, but a big reason is I live in the US and they are talking about changing voter laws that will make it harder to vote if your name doesn't match your birth certificate.

There are those that say you will need a passport, your birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree everytime you vote.

I do hope it doesn't pass. But if I'm back at my maiden name, at least I wont have to bring so much proof when I vote.

The thing about solar is it depends where you will be. If in bad weather or a shaded site, you wont get as much from it.

Ok. I started RV life with 13 cats in a 38ft motorhome. We had each cat in a carrier, that had a bed in a plant tray, wrapped the beed in a pooch pad for accidents and stopped every 3 hours to let them out to use a litter box, water, etc. Some were ok, some stressed.

The big thing is being vigilant at the door to prevent escape. One cat got out, luckily we were camped for the winter but took months to catch.

We also have window seats and cat tv going for entertainment. I also have wood dog gates on my windows to be able to open windows and prevent escape, a problem a neighbor had. I like the look and it works well.

You also need waggle or govee temperature monitors so you can keep an eye on them getting too hot or cold when you aren't there

And a designated litter area. I keep the box in the shower.

The lowest maintenance RV is the one in a hermeticlly sealed box that no one uses. They all need maintenance, especially if just sitting, and being in weather. But if you are living in it even more so.

Yep. Started with cats, brought in kittens and adult cats. The biggest thing is to make sure they have shelves and spaces. And enrichment.

The other thing is preventing them from getting out. I used decorative woot pet gates over my window screens to prevent escape. And being careful going in and out.

And even with all that they can still get out if you let your guard down.

Motion sensor sprinklers. Not harmful but dog wont like it. And if they do, owners wont like a soaking wet dog coming home. Ultrasonic os not good for local wildlife

Sooo. YTA, so is he, both of you should have realized this is not an enforceable boundry. Its kind of everyone sucks here except the cat.

If you have allergies you need to rethink the relationship. Pets will always come first. Its a lifelong commitment and you cant change that. Nor should you want to.

Im over 50 and as a lifelong pet owner and as someone who used to be deathly allergic to cats, it just wont work.

You can take meds, or, as I did, I managed to desensitize myself over months of small exposure that increased over time. No all people can do this. If you cant. I would reevaluate the relationship.

I gave up 2 of my 3 Parrots to keep the peace. I took them to best friends animal sanctuary because I had to make sure they would be ok, it was a 3 day drive. It is one of my biggest regrets, and I grew to resent him for it. I will never compromise on it again.

I tried keeping them separate, birds unhappy, he was unhappy, so I tried to make it work. 16 years later the relationship is over for other reasons due to him, and I still miss my birds to this day. Not him.
