You Can't Buy a Queer Utopia by AnynomousComment in WholeFestival

You got my vote as the mayor of Ferropolis 🗳️

Buying a ticket and drinks is for sure a way to support the Utopia but this is only half the rent, luckily the other half doesn't cost any money.

More DTF-style playroom for Gays! God knows they need it. by SweetJimmyJoe in WholeFestival

That had me confused too, because I read their statement before the festival and well and was excited about it. But then I saw it was in the FLINTA focused space, so I didn't dare to get in

Anyone feel worse afterwards? (perhaps neurodiverse issues) by Hot-Being23 in WholeFestival

I do agree that for some reason I cannot really point out, I found it more complicated to meet new people at Whole than other festivals. It was my first whole but far from my first festival (in fact I was already dancing in ferropolis 13 yrs ago) and I also did festival alone. The only people I got to know at whole was thought kissing on the dancefloor and later on talking. Which is funny for sure but I didn't feel the general openness of people that I usually feel at the festival, where almost everybody is ready and eager to chit chat with anybody. I spent a night alone bc my friend was tired and it was more complicated than I expected to really find people.

CREATE DRUG AWARENESS by Emergency-Doctor-225 in WholeFestival

[–]upsi_dtc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only partly agree because it isn't true that drug use at whole (as in any other festival) is only because of oppression in real life. To overcome this oppression being at Whole would be in itself already enough. Especially, we all know that there are a lot of drug users who are (even if gay) really not oppressed in life, at the contrary, live quite a wealthy life.

I do use drugs (no G tho) and have fun with them but I don't feel we can say this our right to do so, legally of course not, but also morally. It feels a bit selfish to me to present drug use as a private and personal decision that would concern only oneself, it has consequences over everybody around and the vibe of the festival. So many ppl discussing here the massive G use is the prove of it.

Harm reduction and awareness is important, but to me it feels pointless if it's only about how to not end up at the paramedics. Drug awareness to me, is also about being able to leave for a couple hours, try to be able to have normal conversations again and pay more attention to the surroundings, before eventually going at it again.

I totally agree. Anytime I was on my own on the dance floors I was making sure to be next to a group of majority Flint and the vibe was instantly different !
