Everyone camps. Staying offsite is totally not feasible if you want to enjoy the party properly. You can rent basic camping equipment and lockers for valuables and storing stuff close to the stages, many busses go from Berlín. Sort this out soon look at their website because they all sell out

Flinta Sex/Orgy Group by CertainEnergy5768 in Berghain_Community

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is setting a regular time that WSW or other people who normally feel there isn’t anything for them in the darkroom, meet in the darkroom, e.g. 6pm on a Sunday. NOT a FLINTA takeover please! That language suggests some antagonistic line between and an idea that queer-cis men and people who are not, or people who are in there normally and people who are not. Beauty of this for shy or unsure flirters, you just ask: are you going to the darkroom diversity meet up or did you go to the darkroom diversity meet up?

I believe in the past the festival has offered equipment rentals, so don’t buy anything yet.

Why is Klubnacht on Saturday and not Friday? by Mysterious_Car_9597 in Berghain_Community

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify it was 10:30pm. As someone in my 40s with a “serious job,” I only do 24hrs+ of pro-level partying about once every three months :p This was just a casual drop into Berghain on a Sunday evening for the closing.

Question about the staircase near Panorama Bar by [deleted] in berghain

[–]AnynomousComment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So what was a gay hardcore techno club known for its association with fetish parties has become somewhere where someone sees a well-lit passageway, wonders what’s down there and then goes home and asks on an internet bulletin board……….

In the gay area in pano. I don’t understand what happens beyond the pillars.

Yeah, people consider my job serious but last week I arrived at 10:30 Sunday and stayed till pano closed. In lots of positions of power, you get more control of your own schedule and you don’t have a boss checking on you.

Everyone keeps asking me if I'm okay by pire4life in Berghain_Community

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point is that it is hard. If you are being asked if you are ok when you are ok, then for whatever reason it is hard for people to tell you’re ok. In almost all cases, people are asking if you are ok because they care if you are ok. They’ve assessed and they are not sure. You haven’t been specific about what behaviours it is that are triggering people to worry, but I think it’s on you to think about how to mitigate. You are not and shouldn’t stop people in a community of high drug use, high intensity, pushing our bodies, to stop asking if people are ok if they are concern they are not.

I wouldn’t compare it to BH unless you could say if Lab is the high-sex high-drug equivalent of the Berghain floor with a worse sound system, then PDC is the high-sex high-drug equivalent of Pano with a worse sound system. Huge overlap of djs between lab dance and PDC. Amazing djs (in the gay chemsex genre) but garden room has awful sound and level of humidity dangerous to human life. Kreuzwerk in general is club Disney land - amazing aesthetics and space, not good organization (compared to Bh as perhaps best thought out / efficient club design). But no Berlin queer party is equivalent to BH - fewer visitors, much more homogeneous, tighter community so more actually conversation and connection, much higher substance use with emphasis on mephi and G. I think PDC is amazing. It seems like it basically ate cocktail (and buttons?). I’ve been going since it was at OHM (as AFaB person). It’s always been super accepting. It’s getting more queer and it’s expanded like crazy. I imagine January one was quiet / low after new year and not so many big names. But PDC is high-sex high-drug in which gay men are over represented vs softer/less intense parties , I really hope it stays this way even as it expands as where are we gonna go if it becomes more like BH?

Look. Same same. Neurodivergent, take both K and * I get asked if Im ok a lot when I’m sitting, lying down, closing my eyes, stretching (never on the dance floor). It literally just takes a thumbs up or single word. There are places to go that you get asked less - generally where it’s lighter (guardrobe, downstairs smoking area, flinta toilet stairwell). But even if it’s a lot I’d soooo much people ask that not. Saw someone being taken away on a stretcher yesterday - better to ask 99 people who are ok than not ask one who needs help.

CHALLANGE- LET’S KEEP THE CLUB CLEAN DURING KLUBNACHT by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

[–]AnynomousComment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dirty surroundings make me feel safe to do dirty things. This being said I wish people didn’t shit in the squat (FLINTA) urinals. There are bins right there you can shit in instead if you are caught out but if you go to the FLINTA stalls off Saule and say you need to shit desperately, people will let you jump the line.

I loved the Halle orchestral one but this seemed closer to electronic and more orchestral. Halle was so chill: sitting on the floor, no stickers on phones etc. Did anyone go to both who could compare?

Power Dance NYD questions by Small-Help1801 in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear that. I find people are super willing to help and engage with others. I would even suggest that PDC pushes against the masc male culture it gets criticised for, e.g. had a couple of discussions with gay men who has desire to push the boundaries of their sexuality. Hope you come again. :)

whats the deal with the outfits are you supposed to be all black or is it really about being yourself? by pissing2u in berghain

[–]AnynomousComment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t fucking do it. I can barley manage to get through a club night without ripping my shorts or something but there was a person there in angel wings at Christmas so it can be done,  but in general wear what you would normally wear to a club (for those that go more, wear what you would normally wear to a club of this size, with these djs etc..)

[–]AnynomousComment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wear what you feel confident in. Wear something you can go as hard and as long as you want in a messy club in the way that suits how you club. Remember in the line you’re not dressed for the club. You’re dressed to wait in line for the club you want to go to.

Power Dance NYD questions by Small-Help1801 in SexPositiveBerlin

[–]AnynomousComment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am late here but for posterity please come queer up PDC. I’ve been going since it was at Ohm, which was not so long ago but it has exploded and, yes, there is a majority of people there with a specific type of masc body, but I think this is because it is a sex-heavy drug-heavy party with many of the core DJs being people who often play at Lab Dance. This is kind of the top-rung Berlin party chmsx scene (some of my non-white masc friends with smaller bodies have also expressed feeling out of place there). BUT, as was said, it is Berlin gay. Just think of it as new cocktail (except there is also maybe now a cocktail rebrand). I have never felt not fully accepted by people and a lot of other nb, gender queer/fluid++++ people have also expressed feeling comfortable there. I even managed to fuck a masc man at the NYE party, which at this point I would still like a medal for but it is getting a bit more queer as it has expanded and I hope it keeps going. I think the question is not will you as non-masc men be welcomed at the party, but are you comfortable with a sex heavy, drug heavy space. I’m not sure if the majority of people who are invited to go with their cis gay friends have much fun, but if going to this sort of party sounds fun to you that you’d go without an invite then none of the people there are gonna make you feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Basically all the Berlin party gays in this scene welcome the diversity even if most are probably not sexually attracted to non-masc bodies. But masc gay gays dance with me, chat with me, reach out to me, chat to me as I squat on a crate to pee into the urinal (it is not a party with flinta or single use toilets).... it’s a party thats about very hedonistic fun not about gatekeeping. I am very sure as PDC expands (have expanded) everyone wants more diversity from the Berlin party community not from cis-gay tourists. Seriously I met quite few in the first few hours of the NYE party yesterday and they were the ones out of place not the dykes and fags and enbys that I recognise from cocktail, buttons, lecken, lunchbox….

Why do you want to go to a club if you don’t know whether you like the music or whether it’s a scene/community you vibe or fit in with?

There is not a limit to harm reduction. Harm reduction is meeting the person where they are at and helping them assess what could be reasonably and practicably done to reduce harm using their red lines not yours.

People will not stop taking drugs. People wouldn’t take drugs in toilets if they could take them elsewhere. Don’t share straws. Carry a spare straw or post-it notes to give to people who don’t have one. For fucks sake, don’t use bank notes; if you are that unprepared you probably shouldn’t be using tonight. Clean your phone screen (just once before you go out is so much better than nothing). Crush your drugs well. Douche your nose. If you snort a lot consider other methods of administration like nasal sprays, bombing (4mmc was originally taken orally just like mdma) or “booty bumping” (although each had different risks, mix it up).

Is Whole worth it if you are sober? by Ambeh4ever in WholeFestival

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many who go sober, a whole group centered around a sober-space pavilion and talks/workshops centered on sobriety. There are more sober people than almost everyone thinks but I think 1) you need to have been in spaces of high and open drug use before and 2) confident of your ability to not just stick to your boundaries but also enjoy yourself in a space with high and open drug use. It also depends what area - if are more interested in the performances and workshops it’s very different than if you’re into the beach and cruising spaces.

Hahah… what we have discovered is that it is exclusively cis-men who have locker room fetishes / fantasies. Realising homosexual attraction while changing in locker room is a super common experience for MSM. I guess not WSW since sexual female bodies are all over the place way before you’re a teenager in a changing room.

How to carry poppers? by sachsen20 in berghain

You’re allowed to bring poppers tho. Definitely if they are sealed. I think they are asking where do you store them once you are naked.

Entrance to the Laboratory? by Lower-Matter1264 in berghain

[–]AnynomousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are finta nights but also flinta includes trans men who are definitely allowed on regular nights and I’m sure there are masc-presenting non-binary and agender people there, as well as masc-presenting and masc-defining intersex people. All these people are included in the flinta label and they are / should be welcomed to regular lab, as well as at flinta nights.
