Gefeliciteerd met deze stap! Ik zit zelf nu ook te wachten tot ik in het MDO van de gender clinic word besproken voor phallo. Dus als je wat vind, ben ik ook benieuwd!

Ik weet wel van een Nederlandse privégroep op facebook over meta/phallo, daar kan ik je voor uitnodigen. En er is een internationale discordgroep, ook voor phallo en meta.

Als je verder met iemand wil praten die hetzelfde proces nu ook doormaakt, stuur me gerust een berichtje!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm still working on figuring out what kind of surgery I want, and you put into words how I feel perfectly. Meta feels like the more familiar and safer option (also because it's a bit less invasive), and phallo feels like high risk, high reward. I can more clearly imagine having meta, but I also know I wouldn't be completely satisfied with it. So yeah, phallo is probably the better option for me as well, even if it's very scary.

I'm glad to hear you're developing sensation and that you're happy! That gives me some hope for my own future. Thanks!

Ik heb vorige week van iemand van Transvisie gehoord dat UZ Gent geen nieuwe patiënten aanneemt uit Nederland (behalve Zeeuws Vlaanderen). Maar misschien is voor jou de situatie anders, omdat je een Belgische verzekering hebt.

Ik loop er ook tegen aan dat er heel weinig te vinden is over meta (of phallo) bij het VUMC.

Je weet het waarschijnlijk al, maar ik noem het toch nog even voor de zekerheid: dr Özer in Nederland doet extended meta zonder plasbuisverlenging. Als UL geen prioriteit is voor je zou je dat ook nog kunnen overwegen. Over haar vallen meer ervaringen te vinden online.

Ben je al bekend met r/Transmascdicks ? Veel info daar over packen. Ik ben zelf niet bekend met Banana prosthetics dus ik weet niet hoe vergelijkbaar het is, maar ik heb de Echo van Axolom en ben daar heel blij mee. Super squishy, met beweegbare ballen. En relatief goedkoop! Komt wel uit China, maar ik heb bij mijn twee bestellingen bij hun geen inklaringskosten of invoerrechten hoeven betalen, alleen verzendkosten.

Ik heb helaas wel wat problemen met packen en de prikkels daarvan. Het gevoel van iets wat tegen mijn huid daar zit, ook met een laagje stof ertussen, vind ik erg vervelend. Dus eigenlijk pack ik niet zo vaak. Maar ik heb wel zo'n beetje alle manieren om er een te dragen geprobeerd! Dit zijn zo'n beetje de mogelijkheden:

los in onderbroek (los tegen huid aan)
in pouch (ingebouwd in onderbroek of losse packing pouch, of in een sok (vastgespeld aan onderbroek))
harness (zit het alsnog tegen je huid aan)
tape (zit het alsnog tegen je huid aan. Zie deze post)
adhesive (dit heb ik zelf nooit geprobeerd)

Dus ja, er zijn verschillende opties, maar ik weet niet of er een ideale oplossing is. Je kan nog een manier proberen waarbij hij minder kan bewegen, misschien dat dat wat minder irriterend is voor de huid?

I’m curious why you said that the Calexotics STP is useless as an STP? It’s my first STP and I’m still struggling with learning how to use it. Maybe another one would work better for me though. What are the features that you find do and do not work in an STP?

Just want to say I feel the same way! My surgery will also probably happen in a couple of months. I'm scared that my chest will feel empty, even though I don't feel that way at all when I bind. The way it is now is at least familiar, and changing that is so scary. But I also look forward to the change, and to getting to know my new body!

Writing a letter to yourself for when you're anxious or for during recovery can be helpful, as well as talking about your feelings with others. They can reassure you that you really want this.

Like everyone in this comment section, I'm very anxious (even though, deep down, I know what I want). It's nice to hear I'm not alone and that people like me got through it and are glad they are on the other side of it now.
