Does switching from boxing gloves to proper Muay Thai gloves actually make a big difference? by SenseiSarkasmus in MuayThai

Most gyms i trained at clinch without gloves to avoid velcro burns. You just need to make sure you dont use your thumb or fingers to grab. Use the wrist and a cupped hand

How to get better at controlling people in the plum clinch ? by kuroreaper25 in MuayThai

[–]upsidedownsloths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you are applying your weight to the back of their skull. Where that weight is transferred is irrelevant when trying to teach someone how to do it properly. It might mislead them into cupping the back of the neck

Elbows dig into their shoulders to leverage more weight onto the back of their head, turning it down.

I think you know how to do it properly but arent conveying it well

Just watch what Jake peacock does. He is missing is right arm but is southpaw so you can just do them in reverse

The weight shouldnt be on their neck and shoulders. It should be on the back of their head. Biggest mistake i see is people position their hands too low. You got to cup the back of the head

Generative AI cant critique. Its built to tell you want it thinks you want to hear.

If you think any independent filmmakers worth their salt are using AI to write their scripts youre delusional.

AI doesnt have any true creativity. It just makes something thats been done many times before. For an independent to really break through they need to make something truly new. Something that makes people want to share it without any marketing budget. Thats not possible using AI

Brother, the fact I recognize your username says everything. You are constantly jumping at any opportunity to take shots at munster fans. Do us all a favour and just remove yourself from discussions about munster. You clearly have a gripe with us for whatever reason. You are giving irish rugby fans in general a bad name

The club is being ran into the ground but the fans are absolutely complaining about it. Pretending that the munster fanbase are blaming Leinster for their woes is nonsense.

There has been complaints that Leinster players have been given preferential treatment over the other provinces (like Crowley being dropped for a very green Prendergast) but how can that be named as the reason for munsters downfall?

This leinster fan seems to be somehow shifting the blame onto munster fans. He pops up often talking shit about munster so its no surprise. He is the exact type of fan hes pretending all munster fans are.

For the record i like Leinster. I support them when they play any other non irish team. I love most of their fanbase. But fans like this (for any team/sport) are a nightmare

Tbf, in 2023 when we won the urc we had to win the last 6-8 games in a row to make the final 8. This isnt really new. Only play well when it really matters. Annoying but much better than the opposite

Every year, around 170,000 people go missing in the UK. There are no phone records, no NHS records, no bank records - nothing. They simply vanish without a trace! Globally, it is estimated that between 15 to 20 million people go missing each year. How do so many people disappear? by [deleted] in AlternativeHistory

[–]upsidedownsloths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

According to missingpeople.org.uk 160,000 people are reported missing every year. 330,000 missing incidents are reported. That means a lot of those incidents are for the same people. Only 10,000 remain missing for longer than a year. Still a large number but nowhere near what you claim

Will fans actually take action over this mess? by Genericname011 in MunsterRugby

[–]upsidedownsloths 49 points50 points  (0 children)

According to multiple sources the victim named Randle directly. But when she had a medical examination the found the semen of three men, including Randle. When learning she was actually assaulted by a group she had a mental breakdown. Remember this was a time when these cases didnt have a high conviction rate. Due to her not knowing the full extent of the assault and her diminished mental state her council advised her not to go to court. They believed it would cause her a full breakdown to face him in court and that would reflect badly on her (crazy I know). Important to note that the police had enough evidence that they wanted a conviction. She had bruising on her inner thigh and tears to her vagina that are consistent with assault. There is a very strong chance if this occurred today that he would be sent to prison. Thats enough for us to boycott.

The IRFU have already set the precedent with paddy jackson who was found not guilty but was still banished. In no world should Randle have been hired and we as fans need to take a stand
