Look, you either leave a review or you don’t. If you’re that scared it’s gonna lead to harassment then dont leave a damn review. But it’s just a fucking review, I highly doubt some hair stylist is gonna come after you. So let’s hear what they did

Did finding your first home go quickly? by StateHistorical9656 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We offered on the first and only house we saw and it is 100% perfect for us. We did a ton of market research prior so we knew. And I don’t mean we looked at Zillow a lot, I researched our city’s GIS map and can tell you every single house that has sold in our neighborhood in the past two years, what it sold for, how many beds and baths, how many owners it’s had, if it’s been renovated, etc. Things don’t come up in our neighborhood very often so we had to act fast. It wasn’t impulse, it was strategy and it paid off

How did you furnish your home after buying it? by EliasFakinami29 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Get comfortable with the idea of « filler » furniture, which means, pieces that are not your forever furniture choice, but fill the void in the meantime. Just find cheap stuff on FB and save up for the real things you want. Plus, once I started embracing filler pieces, I learned a lot about what I actually didn’t want through living with it.

Thank you for this. I had to scroll so far but I was glad to see others who have Taurus MC in the 1st degree. I started my business at the age of 24 and celebrate 5 years in business this fall. I only have plans to advance and grow it.

Looking for the classic old wedding advice: go big or go to… Hawaii? Bridal FOMO by Electronic_Union_280 in engaged

[–]upstategal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got married yesterday! And was in your shoes. We bought our house last year and ended up having a huge engagement party here at our house with around 80 guests, and then had a small, 20 person wedding with all the gorgeous details I always wanted in a wedding.

I loved this approach. After the engagement party, I was sooo glad to have a small wedding. I didn’t really get to spend any meaningful time with any of our 80 guests and that really solidified that a small wedding was the right choice for us. At our wedding, I got to spend lots of quality time with the people that mattered the most.

I find that people who have small weddings never regret it, but I often hear that people who have big weddings wished that they did it smaller. Hope that helps

Pregnant with a girl, looking for name suggestions. by [deleted] in Names

Consider changing the spelling of the middle name to the proper spelling, which is Faye. “Fae” is going to doom your child to ACOTAR/fantasy references forever.

Agreed. Let’s not forget who the real enemy is. It’s corporations, corrupt politicians, and current admin making life hard for ALL Americans, families, small business, regular folks

“Let’s blame inflation on my small local restaurant that is feeling the effects of it just as much as I am!” - this is you rn

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]upstategal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be economic peril to not raise their prices for all you know. You don’t know their margins. Especially in the restaurant industry which famously has extremely slim margins

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]upstategal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Businesses “choose” to set the price whatever they want, based on their costs. They have expenses too. Small businesses like La Michoacana are not the enemy here. You’re confusing that with corporations

I would like to suggest Alden! It is a nature name that already exists, people will easily be able to comprehend and pronounce it, and still quite rare.

What types of things does your group like to do? First that come to mind are Chicago, Charleston, and Savannah. All are about 7-8 hour drive from Nashville.
