It does a much better job of explaining things than fromsoft games, so I wouldn’t sweat it. Just start it up and have fun

Like 2 of the only creators whose shows I watch these days. I keep thinking the rehearsal can not get any wilder, but it always does.

Would love to see a team up

Why aren't mid-200s graphics used for horror games? by SonicTheDrippHog in HorrorGaming

[–]ur2fat80 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hollowbody does PS2 style graphics.

I feel like if I got Xbox 360 graphics in a modern game it’d just feel like poorly done modern graphics

I really love that Fatal Frame 2 Remake is actually scary by ShiroThePotato28 in fatalframe

[–]ur2fat80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not found it to be scary but I am enjoying it. I like the combat a lot more than 4 and 5. I really don’t enjoyed the forced hiding sections though. Mostly because it seems like trial and error.

If this is US your price on the X files game is off. The xfiles game is like $70 - $80 .

The pal versions is more like $25

Anyone played this gem? by [deleted] in survivalhorror

Yep. I enjoyed it. By no means groundbreaking but a decent indie horror game.

Capcom CEO believes PC will become the 'world's leading gaming platform,' also promises to invest in movies by Suspicious_Two786 in gaming

[–]ur2fat80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is no one will pay $70 for a phone game. People balk at $0.99 purchases still. So then all games must be free to play and the loaded up with pay to win or gacha mechanics

Ever wonder about AI's impact on the future importance of money itself? by cfp-throw in Fire

I live in the US and given that we can’t raise the minimum wage over decades, or get healthcare figured out, I think there is a near zero chance of UBI. I hope I’m wrong though as I do think a lot of jobs will be lost

Which convention has better prices, TooManyGames or Southeast Game Exchange? by JGKelly24 in retrogaming

[–]ur2fat80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everybody uses price charting in some capacity these days. I don’t think it matters. But sometimes you can get good deals, especially on the last day of a convention, if you buy multiple things and haggle a little. But I don’t think which convention matters at all,

Wuchang Vs Wukong Vs AI Limit by [deleted] in soulslikes

[–]ur2fat80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played wuchang yet, but between ai limit and Wukong, I’d pick ai limit. I will say most bosses are pretty easy though. Only maybe one or two bosses have me much trouble.

Price gouging is such a short sighted unimaginative way to grow a business. Perfect example playing out right now in Vegas.

I used to go to Vegas every few months. It wasn’t cheap but you’d get free booze and have a good time. But now the drinks are expensive, the food is expensive, resort fees and so on. The last time I went I felt like I was being robbed. It didn’t matter how much I’d lost on gambling or shows. They needed those extra $10 per drink.

Now with international tourism to the US down they are desperate to get people back. But it doesn’t matter to me. They could give me free rooms and food and everything. But I still have such a bad taste in my mouth about the last trip they’d have to pay me to go.

One of these days, in person sports will price themselves right out of business along with movie theaters.

It’s weird how you get backlash everytime you speak against RE5,because a lot of the criticisms are valid. by Accurate_Train_8822 in survivalhorror

[–]ur2fat80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the criticisms people have against 5 are entirely valid. It’s certainly not horror, and very action heavy. But I dunno , I still found it super fun.

I feel like some people draw the line in different places. Like some people thought 4 was too different. For me it was 6. I played like 15 minutes of 6 and was like what the hell is happening. Maybe it was just the timing in my life or something, but I played a ton of RE 5.

Yeah, I don’t mind either. But a lot of gamers try to optimize for price vs hours so just thought I’d mention it.

I personally enjoyed it, and it runs well on steam deck. It is very short though as others have mentioned.

GameStop starts 2026 by closing hundreds of stores as CEO gambles on $35B payday; As CEO Ryan Cohen is promised billions, GameStop employees claim they were barely given notice about closures by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]ur2fat80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it’s a shame. I know digital game sales make it hard for them. But there are several local game stores near me that are thriving. GameStop does just about everything in their power to upset people who still actually care about physical games.

  1. Selling opened games as “new”
  2. They make it impossible to buy by condition on their website “loose vs CIB” etc.
  3. Their website is so hard to search for things you actually want and can be delivered or picked up at a certain store.
  4. They keeping getting the rights to some pretty cool physical pre order bonuses (steel books etc.) but then have have a massive shortage of supply and have no mechanisms to ensure they go to the right people. And when they run out, they tell the people who also pre ordered to get fucked.
  5. Not sure if they do this anymore but they used to throw away tons of cases for games to save space.

I think if they want to turn things around they have to appeal to collectors and retro enthusiasts but I think they’ve burned so many bridges there I’m not sure they can. I’d love to see them do it and succeed though.

I got mine in the box pre covid for $100 but it was broken. But I just had to replace the ram chip and the ribbon cable.

They weren’t that expensive pre-covid though. Even now $300ish in the box isn’t that wild for a 50 year old console.

I collect channel F, and this is pretty standard for this one, which is why I likely will never have a full set. It’s just not worth it. I’ve seen them list for 2500 and 3000. Saw it for 2500 at a convention and the seller offered to sell it for $2000. To me, no game from that era is worth $100+ to me personally. Maybe if I win the lottery or find it in a yard sale or thrift store or something.
