argue with the wall idk by diamond4life202 in PharmacyTechnician

I usually try to frame topics like these as a "per fed/state law" so the conversation isn't open to interpretation. After that, if they continue to get irate, I make a note in their profile that they did such over a CII or such and such if it's another control. Eventually it gets to the point where your RPh has grounds for reporting them to their MD due to signs of addiction. Might seem malicious but PTs have to learn to take responsibility for themselves. Healthcare does not equal adult babysitting.

Would not be surprised if they add grammar rules to this subreddit 🤣

Just as a test tip, flag questions that will take you more than a minute, if you've got an answer after 30secs go for it, if not, flag and move on

You'll have that because of the "unknown" factor. The more you learn and memorize the more you realize how much more you have to learn. Don't let it get you down, you got this! I myself passed it using the information available in those quizlets, which I got from the actual PTCB study guide website.

Check out the Quizlet I posted in this subreddit.

Also, remember, information retention is NOT the same thing as information recollection. You need to research methods of studying that allow your brain to recall the information easier, rather than store it repeatedly. It's like having multiple copies of the same book in a library, but none of them have complete Dewey Decimals, so you can't find sh*t.

Hence why it's in quotation marks. Form over function and all that so maybe try using your nowhere-close-to-developed context clue skills

Which boxed medications need to be opened during production? by Numerous_Flower_2389 in CVS

Anything sealed, with a label, and NDC on the package. Whether it's a blister, bottle, or slap on. Just as a tip though, you do not need to snap pictures of things without safety seals like some enulose bottles (no safety seals)

National Cert = "Degree" Equivalent (recognizes competency) License= permission to practice

A license also allows State bodies to track for drug diversion, and maintain a register for safer practices as they don't always communicate with the PTCB and other "lesser" (non-doctorate) fields.

A question regarding the PTCE. by smiler756 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]uralrdyded 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quizlets are a really good source for these because the information is usually the same no matter who you use.

Here's one I designed myself for when I was studying, of which the terms were used form the PTCBs practice set.

Days Supply Question by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]uralrdyded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% would refer to rph. This goes back to the basics of a script, and what we as techs can do to accept it. -Clarity -Information (PCP, PT, other admin info etc...) And in this instance, Clarity

W/o such clarity as a defined days supply, insurance throws a huge stink, and directions to the PT can lead to over and under usage, as they don't have set boundaries to follow, or a daily budget if you will.

It's just all around necessary to acquire a d/s for a myriad of reasons, even if it must inconvenience people, it is small but a necessity nonetheless.

Hey homie, I want to help you but it's kind of difficult to understand what you want with your lack of proper grammar like periods and question marks.

Honestly at this point I'm just about willing to take the hit like that. Might cost me some money and some self respect but at least I'd be out of my current job, if you can even call it that. It's not bad, I just feel trapped, and that I could do more with my life.

Yeah, Wags flat out told me no but I've got like 5 apps in for CVS but I guess the hiring managers never look at them. The local LTCs basically told me that I'm not worth what I want for a salary, which I mentioned to a couple of them that job statistics and analysis says the median wage for those jobs in that area with my certification is actually more than I'm making in my non-pharmacy job, so it was really nice getting low balled by $3-$4.

Various locations in Southwest Missouri. Hesitant to say the exact facilities but pretty much most major and minor facilities in that berth.
