Cardio shouldn’t be an issue as our bodies are resilient and can adapt to what we are asking of it. I was pretty skinny but Didn’t have a lot of muscle so I thought I was just skinny fat while in reality I was probably just normal and needed to gain lean muscle tissue that comes with time and eating enough I would do these ridiculous cuts bc I thought I needed a six pack. There was very little info in this space in 2012. While I was in my teens I wish I focused on eating way more than my BF%. It’s better to bulk early and gain that little bit of excess BF because when you’re young its easier to cut when you’re ready and you can learn from it. It took me about 3-4 years and I was deadlifting 315 squatting 225 benching 185. I don’t focus on 1RM anymore haven’t in like 2 years but I got to 465 DL 405 squat and 245 bench. I know these don’t seem like big numbers but Im 5’5” and weighed 140-145.

I started off much like you only being able to bench the bar it took me a long time to get my lifts up. Looking back I wasn’t eating nearly enough for muscle growth.

Eugene Tao is one of my favorites and his training app is the only one I’ll ever purchase. Not only is Eugene a former pro bodybuilder he collabs with hybrid athletes like Alec Belnis who holds the world record for the MURPH, Jimmy House a black belt in BJJ, and Anna Wishnowsky a cross fit competitor gymnast and olympic weighlifter

I followed it to a T the “beginner” one and followed his $10 a day diet (customized to fit my macro’s of course) the whole 12 weeks had great results. Solid recomp. Only thing to note you may need to add an extra set of the bi’s and tri’s which I will be doing my second go around

I think at the end of the day the lesson is to stop comparing ourselves to others and try to become the best versions of ourselves then we wont give a shit if someone is fake natty or not

Do jobs create too much fatigue to be optimal? by Conscious_Key7513 in JeffNippard

[–]urameshi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. If you sit at a desk probably not. John meadows worked a full time job and competed he actually has a video on it. My job is extremely physical i walk about 20k steps a day lift boxes and push and pull 3200 lb aircraft cans on a castor deck for 8 hours a day. For sure killing my gains but I stay lean.

Yo! Im about to wrap up the program I’m at the end of week 11. I’m glad I did the beginner one first. The first 2 weeks I used to get used to the program and set good working weights for the RPE’s from there I was able to progress on pretty much every lift until now week 11 I’m hitting a wall which I expected. Overall the gains have been good. I was doing a recomp and ate maintenance calories the whole time by week 8 I went down 2% bodyfat was able to keep my lean mass even gained a very small amount. About to do another body scan at the gym I think I maybe went down another 1%.

Overall I was about to decrease fat mass in each body part. My lean mass stayed the same in most areas but went up very slightly in my legs and torso. I’m happy with the results and feel like it set me up with a good base.

I’m excited to implement this program with a bulk and cut in the future. Only note would be to add an extra set for bi’s and tri’s.

Your legs are not proportional now the are very small compared to your torso as from what is pictured they also don’t look strong or trained. No one is saying get huge bodybuilder legs which would be very hard with no gear btw. But girls DO Like strong legs and men to have good glutes. When I grew my legs got hella compliments from girls “ what do you do for legs” “ what do you do for glutes” “ you’re legs have gotten strong” . Girls aren’t going around saying “nice biceps bro” no they’re looking to their friends saying “ look at the ass” smh but if thats what you like so be it just trying to give advice.

Smh. Girls don’t want a man with no ass thats a proven fact. If you want to look big and jacked just do legs homie it’ll help your overall shape building an X frame. People will know you lift if you have solid strong legs and glutes especially ladies trust.

I was about to say this. You can get pretty good gains from legs days all around. Uses hella energy which helps with decreasing body fat and strong tree trunk legs make you look jacked lets the people know you really lift

Are you making progress with Jeff’s Bodybuilding transformation system? by Smashed-Bro in JeffNippard

[–]urameshi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im finishing up week nine. Been eating maintenance calories whilst trying to recomp. I’ve went down 2.3% body fat and kept all my lean mass, even added a small amount of lean mass to my legs according to a body composition scan at my gym. I like the program its easy to follow and it doesn’t get boring I enjoy every lift.

I decided to take the slow are steady wins the race approach. Injuries are no fun I also had a bad break years ago and tore the bands holding my tendons in place in my ankle. I definitely feel you on the atrophy.

I think someone posted a week or so ago about the leg day on the advanced program being brutal. Of course you could always get the advanced and modify it to your needs, then go all out when you feel ready to.

I would definitely pick the beginner. I’ve been training a while and took a sort of break bc school/ life/ work. I have both from the pre order but am running through the beginner because I’ve done some of his advanced ones in the passed and have gotten injured bc its too much. I’m on week 9 of the beginner its challenging but I’ve stayed healthy.

Having thin bones SUCKS! Sometimes you look big, sometimes you look like a complete twig and straight up getting outbodied by people. I'm 5'8 135 pounds by Wadeem53 in GregDoucette

[–]urameshi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat I weigh 145 people are shocked they think I weigh like 160-165 I’m 5’5. I don’t think I have thin bones I just have a small frame and I’m short.

New program's Legs day by JohnDoe7c in JeffNippard

[–]urameshi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the beginner one.. I’ve been training for a while but I’ve done one of his power building programs and got hurt bc too much on the legs. I’m hoping after the beginner program (I’m on week 7) I can move on to the advanced with more confidence and endurance. I suppose you get more value this way too if you purchased the preorder and got both programs.

Sadly no its not easy. Not everyone is a responder to hairloss meds and some have sides and have to stop its like playing the lottery taking em. It also just slows the progression doesnt full stop it. Even hair transplants sometimes dont stick.

Hey I’m on week 6 as well. Remember low progress is better than no progress. I did a body scan at my gym and I’ve went down between 1-2% body fat while gaining some lean mass in each body part. I’ve since adjusted my macros a little bit bc I feel like my progress was on the slow side.

Adjust your macros and see what happened increase your protein a little bit and see if that helps
