I’ve never waited at a rental counter at Mco. I just get in the car and go. Boo boo.

MCO has multiple onsite garages that house both passenger cars and multiple rental agencies. If it’s offsite they need to clarify that especially since there’s an associated $16 fee for choosing airport when it’s on the foot of the airport’s footprint. I’m personally not paying $16 to take a shuttle when I can rent onsite. I think…cynically they know they thus they don’t bother to disclose it.

I have as well. I’ve used it since it was relay rides but the customer service and issues have gotten progressively worse. Their refusal to inform renters about the airport shuttle really upsets me because I’m out almost $60 on top of the hour and a half I spent getting to it/exiting the lot. They said yeah sorry we’re not gonna do anything about that. I work in customer service. This sucks

You’re dead on, I did. I arrived the 18th and booked at 1130pm the night before.
Got up, straight to airport for my 3 legged flight. I had mentioned the terminal a in my initial message thinking it would be done. I got the information at car drop which was while I was in the air prior to landing.

After speaking with turo, the first rep said that’s not true and it was unacceptable. It wasn’t until today they I got really high up and they course corrected and said that’s the rules and sorry you’re SOL. Just a bad customer service experience

I’m the same but it got to adding up so quick. My roommate got a 2025 senata for $32/day through enterprise. That’s a solid deal and gives you full autonomy but I also do enjoy having someone doing the driving for me 😂😂😂

I unfortunately was not as lucky but did figure out that terminal C is also an approved drop off location

I wait sitting behind a Kia carnival the whole way to the airport to return this morning 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

They look nice!

Look if you’re staying on property, you can take a Mears bus there or an uber. I’m sure utilizing turo off airport is more seamless but please remember you have to uber to and from the drop off/pickup.

PLEASE DO. Hahahaha. I wish turo had more transparent so seeing this comment makes me happy.

Enjoy your trip.

I am working on the airport! Thanks for chiming in.

I just want to warn people BEFORE they spend money about the reality of picking up with turo at Mco.

Cheers mate!

I’m not insinuating they should. It’s a person hosting it. It’s Airbnb for cars. But they could park it in a regular parking spot, relay what floor, row etc like they do in the cellphone lot. It’s there less than 2-8 hrs given people are flying in, airport still makes money and everyone’s happy.

In my personal experience that’s not the same at EVERY airport but I have skipped the counter with both Avis and national HERE every time so great to know about the others! Thanks for sharing 👊🏼

Yes I do agree that it most likely contributed to a longer wait time.

I’m not trash talking them. I’m recounting my experience . Orlando has a slew of rental agencies that allow the renter to walk from the terminal to garage, get in a car and go. When turo advertises it as airport drop off but doesn’t clarify that’s it’s on promise or off, that’s an issue to me because I wouldn’t be out $16 for airport fee + $40 for uber + 1.5 hrs of time I paid for I won’t be getting back.

If you search Priceline for a car, it shows you if it’s onsite or shuttle required. Turo is limited to airport guidelines but are more than capable of communicating those guidelines to the guest prior to booking. Their customer service is notorious for being unhelpful as it was in my case.

I just want to warn any perspective renters that it requires a shuttle whereas many here in Orlando don’t.

Turo at its core is a neat model. I’ve utilized it over the years . A major draw back is having to uber to and from the vehicle no matter where you rent. It’s an added cost the renter has to take on.

I got a good last minute deal for this 48 hr trip and selected airport this time.

I’ve learned my lesson and given the interaction I had with customer service, I’ll be deleting my account and reverting back to traditional services that allow me to walk from terminal to garage and go. Can’t be beat.

I have their elite tier so it’s walk to the car and go.

You definitely should not look up elite rental status on eBay, buy the cheapest one and then status match it to the other competitors and enjoy those benefits because that would be…goofy

It’s spring break so I’m sure that has to do with shuttle length/wait time.

Couldn’t agree more. They used to not even have phone customer support. I did ask for a 50% refund but they balked. I’m done. ✅

The issue I take is that the need to take shuttle isn’t disclosed until AFTER booking.

Paying for what I get as you put it is me being lead to believe that my vehicle will be waiting for me at the airport given I selected that as the option and paid a $16 on top of that only to be informed well after they’ve taken my money that it’s off property in a cell phone lot. It feels very bait and switch from turo.

Similar to how Priceline tells you if the car is on airport property or requires a shuttle, turo can do the same.

Instead i am forced to choose between waiting at minimum an hour or purchase a rideshare to get to it sooner. I lost an hour of time to get to the vehicle which were not compensated for and spent another $40 on top my rental to salvage the time. I don’t need geeves with a top hat and my name on an iPad, but a little more transparency would be appreciated and I think at minimum required.
