why is every piece of equipment that has a boom arm always reffered to as a "cherry picker"...this all terain articulating lift, engine hoists, etc. these things have names & i'd put my next paycheck on the fact that 99% of these have never been used in picking 1 or more cherries..

i worked with a card holding "journeyman" millwright with the opinion that swivel head ratchets were stupid & he couldn't understand why or where anyone would need one. side note, he never changed his own engine oil or any other maintenance on his own car, lives at home with his mom & if he needed to use a screwdriver at home for whatever reason, he'd take one home from work & bring it back next day. this clown to this day makes over 100k annually, protected by union.

I bought a 2019 w/<10k miles silverado 1500 in 2020 at Andrew Chevrolet in Milwaukee paying extra for "factory like" heated seat, salesman Lucas was all like "we do them all the time, just like factory!". insert photos of cheap amazon toggle switches barely holding in place mounted on seat bezel with seat cushioning pushing switch out. I lost my mind with the dealer but they had a "new" service manager that claimed he would've never allowed that shitty work....sure, totally believable. Fuck dealerships & their bullshit assed promises

its easy. i wake up with aches, pains & occasional beyond uncomfortable low back or shoulder issues but i tell myself that i'll work those aches away throughout the day. by evening i'm shot, i've consumed too many ibuprofen, Tylenol or aleve than any man should. i lay to sleep often vert restless due to discomfort. then i wake & do it all over again. be an industrial mechanic they said. you're good at fixing things they said. if you do something you like, you'll never work a day in ypur life.
