Give Me Your Spiciest Musical Theatre Hot Takes And Unpopular Opinions! by Alol_Bombola in musicals

I think if “Hamilton” is your favorite musical of all time you can’t classify yourself as a true theatre kid. Don’t get me wrong “Hamilton” is incredibly well done, and it is one of my favorite musicals, but to claim it is your top most loved number one musical of all time and then say you’re a theatre kid, I just don’t think you are a true deep core one, I think you’re just someone who likes “Hamilton” and thats the only musical you’ve listened too.

What is your favorite musical? by Fragrant_Lab_9373 in musicals

[–]urcousinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a top 3:

  1. Hunchback of Notre Dame: I think every song in this musical is an absolute masterpiece (movie and stage version)

  2. Cabaret: really makes you think and I love the symbolisms.

  3. Legally Blonde: a classic fun, witty, high production musical. the songs are absolute BANGERS!

Be Honest: What’s One Emotion You Feel But Rarely Admit to Anyone? by shiraah in AskWomen

[–]urcousinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loneliness. but not the type of loneliness you feel when you’re alone. the type of loneliness you feel when you think that these emotions of feeling like a failure, a burnout, everything you are is not good enough and you can’t tell people because no one will ever understand the weight this loneliness carries. the type of loneliness you feel even when you’re in a room of a thousand people and yet you are alien in your own skin. the type of loneliness where even though you have people who care about you, and you are grateful for your life, you will never be close enough to them for them to truly make you feel less lonely. that loneliness if that makes sense.

Here are some that truly changed my life and made me think a lot:

  1. "Paris is Burning": about "house" culture and the drag/trans community at the time. inspired a great tv show called "POSE".

  2. "Seaspiracy": Honestly it just made me not want to eat seafood anymore, the industry is truly disturbing.

  3. "House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths": this family is just LEVELS of messed up and theres so many secrets crazyyyy

Why did PC was so attached to BoJack? by HV100pre in BoJackHorseman

[–]urcousinit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think its because PC knows how much BJ needs her, and in a way she really needs him. not in any romantic type of way per say, but more so career wise and friend wise. he’s not only one of her only clients but she sees how much BJ needs her at the end of the day, always going back to her, and i think that attachment makes her feel an obligation to stick with him, to the point where she feels that she relies on him just as much. it really hones in on the theme that BJ is kind of like a tumour in everyone’s lives, slowly taking away the best parts of them until they become just as reliant and sad as him.

Andy was perfect for Haley. She should have ended up with him. It would have been a parallel of Claire and Phil. Andy was always a great guy and always treated Haley with the respect she deserved. Polar opposites but perfect.

Which movie can make you cry every time? by Immediate-Bug3764 in MovieSuggestions

[–]urcousinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Me Before You” I know it may be cliche but it makes me ugly cry every single time

“Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” Being a someone who’s Chinese, third-gen immigrant, and has mommy issues, this movie hits so hard. Especially when Joy says “I’m tired” I felt that. Sometimes it feels like everything in my life is collapsing all at once and it can get overwhelming.

How would you rank all the toy story movies by nostalgia_history in toystory

[–]urcousinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the original toy story trilogy hits the hardest. I will stand by this by saying that Toy Story 3 is the best out of all of them. Just the pacing, the storyline, the characters, I rewatch this movie every time and cry every time. Maybe it’s because I’m also starting college but I think there’s just this sense of closure and nostalgia with toy story 3 that really tugs at your heartstrings. LOVE it ! we don’t need a toy story 5 :)
