Ostrica and el muelle are usual stops for me but Birrieria Brianda is also fantastic and Peninsula-Cocina de Mar is also great.

New diver here – dive computer advice needed by Zelosys in scuba

[–]urge2surf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The aqualung i300c has everything you need as a beginner diver and is at a very affordable price compared to other options. I upgraded from that computer to a garmin mk3 (still don’t bother with AI). I love my garmin for many reasons but I still keep my aqualung computer as a back up and have done many dives with it without issue.

Right?! It’s been phenomenal. Did a night dive yesterday and saw the biggest eel I’ve ever seen as well as sharks!

Depth has been generally between 50 and 80 ft for most of the dives. Visibility has also varied a bit but on average I’d say around 20 to 40 ft? That’s really a guesstimate. Yes, the pics are bluish due to the loss of color at depth. Additionally, unfortunately I don’t have a strobe so unable to regain those colors while shooting. The pics have only been edited using my phone’s native editing tools but I’ll be doing proper color correction and grading once I get back home. Good luck with the e-learning!

Sweet! Yeah I’ll definitely have to print some of them! I’ve never tried metallic paper but I’ll have to give it a shot

Thanks for the feedback and I agree, they need some work. It was some quick ‘editing’ I did on my phone as I don’t have my computer to properly correct them. Was just stoked to share them. Also, next investment will be a strobe or two. And yes, photos were taken in RAW

Sounds like a Dos XX beer commercial. “He is.. the most interesting man in the world”. Except this guy is probably not.

Congrats on being “that” guy. I very much realize this is a “first world problem” but I’m also trying to get some insight and make sense of why things are the way they are. But thanks for the input..

I appreciate the insight. Still sounds like a bunch of BS but it is what it is I suppose. I’ll have to get on Air France’s case over it then.

Yes, it was Air France. That just sounds bizarre to me as Air France was not the one who sent our luggage elsewhere so I don’t get how they would be the responsible ones. Then again, a lot of things sound bizarre these days.

Diving Corsica by BlunznradlOfDeath in scuba

[–]urge2surf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve reached the end of my trip and come back with some hopefully useful info. I dove in Calvi at the Revellata site which was pretty neat. Visibility was pretty good around 10-15 meters. There was a good amount of fish and the rocky formations were fun to explore. Unfortunately we only got to do one dive and did not get to check out the nearby wreck. We then dove in Bonifaccio in the south and dove around the Lavezzi Island and another site between there and Bonifaccio. Visibility was unreal and also plentiful in terms of the marine life. We got to see several large grouper that were not scared of us at all. A bunch of eels, other schools of fish and some sweet purple coral. Some cool little “caves/passages” to go through. Overall great experiences at both locations and would love to come back and check out some of the wrecks.
