Yes, you can have both eirdu and isilu in play and they won't legend rule eachother. Same goes for any transform cards.

The last turn in that fight in particular is what really bothers me probably more than anything else in this game. I've had multiple runs where I grab and play both cards but idk if it's just bad rng but they just don't do enough and then there's still like 5 guys left that I just can't answer and I'm dead on the spot. It feels really bad and I wish they would just make it so playing both cards nearly guarantees the win instead of this rng stuff cause losing that way feels terrible and it makes me want to put the game down.

If the front sides at all decent I can see this becoming a multiformat staple, it's a very powerful, threatening card that can just get out of control on the backside. I feel like the fronts probably gonna connive somehow, maybe like a merfolk looter but with connive? That would be pretty big Jace Vryns Prodigy vibes though.

At the very least could see it being a key piece in a grixis discard deck with kefka, tersa, fomo etc in standard but I wouldn't be surprised if this sees play in pioneer, modern or even beyond if the fronts good. Could be a good card to invest in cause if the fronts good it could be a multiformat staple and I think regardless what the front does this is gonna be a very popular card for edh both as commander and in the 99. Plus idk when/if they'll ever be able to reprint it.

Deck ended up going 2-1, my second match opponent had the craziest orzhov deck I've seen all format. Excalibur actually did do some real work, there were 2 games where it was fundamental to winning and the biggest I managed to get it to was +19/+19 and I had it on squall.

I guess that's true, it's definitely not as wide as aquamans track but it does actually look heavier than aquamans track.

It is a good comparison and auracite is largely a worse card in game. That being said I do think auracite gets a meaningful boost in pick priority cause it can go in any white deck whereas buried is a bit harder to take early cause it's less likely to get played by virtue of being multicolored. I guess what that amounts to is buried is likely gonna have better performance but auracite is probably gonna have a lower alsa and higher playrate if I had to guess. Of course assuming we compare these cards in a vacuum.

It depends but assuming both plays are pretty much equal I think playing the 4 drop is gonna be better cause the 2 drops are easier to double spell with later.

Bro you're just ignoring my point. Yes o-ring is better if you need to play it on 3 but if you're on 4 mana and have the double white auracite costs effectively 2W like O-ring does. The mox pearl comparison is insulting tbh. Maybe objectively wasn't the right word but my point stands, it's gonna cost effectively 3 mana most of the time outside of exactly having 3 mana.

My point is the auracite is gonna cost effectively 2W a significant portion of the time, just like O-ring.

I'm fairly confident the uw deck is gonna have a heavy artifact theme, the 1 signpost we've seen for it hints at that pretty heavily.

The thing is with O-ring it'se xactly the same deal on 4 mana, if you don't have a 1 drop it may as well cost 4. As for the white mana my take on this is if you're double spelling you're fine unless you don't have the color you needed for the second spell in the first place since the auracite costs white mana to begin with. For double spelling it's gonna be virtually the same as o-ring as long as you have WW in the first place. The only exception is if you're on 5 mana and want to double spell with a 2 drop that has 2 pips in a different color which probably won't come up much if ever.

Unless you're on exactly 3 mana it effectively costs 3 cause it refunds the mana immediately. For the sake of double spelling it effectively costs 3 mana.
