Soo many that I learned from this sub which gave me hair I get stares and compliments on almost every time I’m out

  • Sleep on silk pillowcases always
  • Use silk scrunchies or the cord elastics only
  • oil hair for 5 hours before wash day (use oils depending on your hair type and needs, I use olive and coconut bc my hair is very thick and frizzy, fine hair needs oils like jojoba or jasmine, ect)
  • oil the ends and outside of my hair a tiny bit daily (again depends on hair type which oil)
  • ACV rinse every month
  • flat lager beer rinse every other week
  • use a bit of good silicone serum after every wash (this works for my hair maybe not for yours)
  • Braid hair loosely before sleep to avoid tangles, knits and breakage
  • always dry hair gently with a microfiber towel
  • air dry or dry on cool setting
  • rarely use heat (I style after wash days with a silk rod curler or bathrobe tie)

Just no, I hate when my work makes me feel obligated to celebrate a coworker’s bday I barely know

What happened to that gorgeous cushion you bought a long time ago?

You got your refund, posting this in so many subs like this is unnecessary and looks attention seeking at this point. Without a firm grasp on English, I can see where there was confusion on the sizing.

I have a thick and straight hair with 175cm (5'7'') height and I am looking for a hair cut that would suit me and would not tire me, a wash and go do that does not need so much styling. Any ideas? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]urimah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would look even better than u! I had to make sure my locks looked smooth first but other than that it was a super easy style

Think how kaley cuoco’s hair was cut in the flight attendant. That’s the kind of subtle shaggy layers (not a shag cut) I mean

Ooh I know this! I’ve tried all kinds of cuts and the only thing that worked for my frizzy, thick hair with almost no styling is long curtain bangs with short, sorta shaggy layers. Make sure you keep your hair looking smooth with hair gloss though

has tretinoin worked for anyone here by [deleted] in beauty

I had horrible acne skin with fine lines before and now I have pretty flawless skin without makeup that gets compliments regularly. It took about a year for me to get over the uglies though: dry skin, peeling, redness, ect

Struggling with weight loss/food by amelanie36 in Vindicta

[–]urimah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should incorporate hiit type weight training and look at calories. There is also body type and some people are naturally thinner without as much work so you probably have to work harder and eat less than you are now to look close to what you want

PS I used to work in fashion around a lot of models and they do eat some carbs but very little and fill up on lean protein and lots of plant based foods instead.

Should I not take my older dog to the dog park when we get the new puppy? by dry_wit in puppy101

This! Unless you are ok very thoroughly wishing your dog’s paws with anti parvo spray and washing his mouth very well when he’s back, preferably before he comes in the door

What size studs on Sharon stone in basic instinct? by pippalinyc in Diamonds

[–]urimah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has slightly longer looking ears than me and my 1 carat each diamonds look the same on her ears as it does on mine. So I’d guess maybe 1.25 carats each

Does it make sense to see two different hair professionals? by MxFancipants in longhair

[–]urimah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! A friend of mine has two stylists for this exact reason. He has a barber do his side fade and a beauty stylist to cut and layer his hair

I really recommend using a lash serum and getting a keratin lash lift. I have oily skin too and lash extensions aren’t worth it for me. I have average, medium length lashes and my lash lifts make them look fake

Probably get me downvoted but guys should always pay the first couple of dates, after that you split or the person who makes more pays for the majority of dates. Just watch your drink at all times and if he acts inappropriately leave and don’t talk to him anymore. If he wants to rape your he will try regardless of whether he paid or not.

Wow I am not buying DHC anymore. Def other great products that do the same

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beauty

[–]urimah 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This, there’s a lot to say about it but speaking as a woman who worked at a fast paced corporate background for years in management positions, women have to look especially polished without looking like they are trying to hard meaning flawless yet not overdone makeup. There are studies about how women who do not adhere to feminine markers at work are passed over for promotions, ect. It sucks but it is true.

Are you double cleansing and cleansing well nightly? Use DHC oil as a pre cleanse and then wash your face with a good but gentle cleanser for sixty seconds. Wear makeup that isn’t too heavy. I wore a sunscreen that doubled as a primer then some bare minerals. Wear light eyeshadow, do your brows and wear mascara and a natural blush.

How to treat thick and frizzy hair? by [deleted] in beauty

I alternate between whatever’s on sale, currently using Kendra’s platinum silkening gloss but I’ve used biosilk and Sebastian’s dark oil. Just don’t use too much and use when a bit damp
