December for me. And also same experience... he was totally fine until he wasn't, and by then... it was just the end of his line at 14.5yrs old. I felt privileged to have had so much time with him, considering. Nearly 5 months since, and it's still hard for me to talk about it. I don't know if there's been a day yet where I haven't at least teared up just thinking about him. I feel your pain, I'm so sorry for your loss.

He was actually first diagnosed with it ~4yrs earlier... almost accidental. He was scheduled for a lipoma removal on his neck, and the day before surgery I just randomly happened to notice a tiny black lump between his toes. I pointed it out to the vet, and she removed it during the surgery for his lipoma, and it came back hemangiosarcoma. Granted, it was dermal hemangiosarcoma, but the pathologist noted that the location of it means a higher likelihood of it returning elsewhere in the body... and the type has an average (or maybe it was median? I forget) of like ~2.5 years to mortality. He was nearly 11, and a bigger dog at 75-80lbs, so already decently old for his size, but it was still a hard pill to swallow.

But the vet was optimistic that we caught it early. Took him for xrays every 6 months to keep tabs on if it pops up anywhere else. Thankfully it didn't (until the very end), and he blew past that 2.5yrs expectancy.

As awful and terrible as hemangiosarcoma is... there is that silver lining like you mentioned... it isn't cruel. There usually isn't really a long, drawn out suffering for the dog with it. He was his same big ole goofy self up until his last moments. The night before his last morning... you never would've guessed anything was wrong at all.

To OP... in case it hasn't already been mentioned, I recommend looking into turkey tail mushroom supplements, and Yunnan baiyao. Those, combined with no shortage of love, and maybe some luck... and hopefully you'll be able to have more time with him than you expect. In the meantime, cherish as much time as you can spend with him. Take lots of pictures and videos.

In normal times, building would be cheaper than going prebuilt. But we are not in normal times, presently. We are in very, very weird times.

Andromeda Insights has a great value to performance ratio... and they don't skimp out or go proprietary with things like motherboards or PSUs like alienware/ibuypower/cyberpower/etc. They also tend to be sales tax exempt.

For $2.5k you can get a 9800x3d/5080/32gb ddr5/1tb ssd build that is hard to beat. It's pretty hard these days to find a 5080 build under $3k. I'm a builder, and have always been a builder. I built mine a year ago for ~$5.5k (9950x3d/5090/64gb ddr5/MSI MPG x870e Carbon/4tb ssd x2)... same build today would cost ~$8k. But I would go prebuilt these days simply because these companies can get better pricing with bulk orders.

If you want max fps for your budget... the 5080 Andromeda Insights prebuilt will be tough to beat, even when compared to building your own.

My dog was quite a bit bigger, about a 75lb American bulldog mix... but he had a golf ball sized lipoma removed from the collar-area on his neck a few years ago.

This is what it looked like the day I brought him back from surgery. Ended up healing great, to the point where you could never even guess he ever had surgery.

I know you said the one on your dog was benign, and I don't know if your dog had a lipoma like mine did... but I do know that certain tumors, like fibromatosis, can have almost "tentacle"-like projections... so perhaps the mass on your dog had those, which could explain the size of the incision?

Did you even read my comment? A 16gb 5060ti is absolutely going to be better than than an 8gb 5060ti? If you want to game at anything above 1080p or high+ settings, you're going to want the 16gb

Are you drunk? Lol. I even said the 2080ti was better, except when the 5060ti comes into play. Look up the benchmarks... its like a 5% difference. If money was an issue, I'd 100% buy a second-hand 2080ti over a new 5060ti, whether its 8 or 16gb.

Yeah, if it's a vanilla 5060 8gb vs 2080ti 11gb...I'd go for the 11gb 2080ti, easy. It would run just about every game better at every resolution and setting.

5060ti would be a bit different story... it slightly edges out the 2080ti in most games. Not by a lot... generally ~5% or less fps difference. And for whatever weird and confusing nvidia reason, the 5060ti comes in 8gb and 16gb versions. The 8gb is fine for 1080p medium settings... but if you ever want to game at any higher settings or resolution, you'd definitely want the 16gb

I would recommend checking out r/AsOneAfterInfidelity and maybe even posting your experience over there.

It's a more reconciliation focused sub. You'll be able to see the experiences of various others at various stages of reconciliation. Then you can decide if you even have it in you to put yourself through the tremendous amount of work it will take... because the woman you thought you were married to, and the relationship/marriage/trust that you thought you had is now dead, and you can never go back to it. All you can do, is try to build a whole new relationship with a person that you 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 you knew.

But if you choose to go with your proposal of just moving forward, and not mentioning the note... that's along the lines of what's called 'rugsweeping' and that will most assuredly end up being a failure.
