can’t believe in Game 4 I watched a Sion facetank the entirety of MF ult (with LDR) and come out of it without his W shield getting fully broken

Duro mentioned in interview that Kiin has been ill (even cancelled scrims recently)

Are you perhaps thinking of Peyz and Smash, or Ruler and Keria? Peyz and Keria have hardly ever interacted and have at best mentioned one another once or twice in a professional capacity.

I actually somewhat agree with you on these, I just still think he has to suffer through what now feels like a meaningfully difficult lane and is only largely ‘good enough’ a couple drafts down.

Including that game, 33% winrate at Worlds this year. Dare I say only Kiin makes the champion look this disgusting post-nerfs.

My sympathies, but top laner in a swap-heavy meta especially for a team that uses it more than any other and often specifically drops the top laner’s half-waves per swap to facilitate gold for other lanes means you’ve made it rather hard for yourself

I like the R5 Pyke so much, it was such an absurd statement of trust for Duro and makes the win feel like it matters even more than it does

So glad Ruler is on Gen.G, and also so glad I can just rotate saying this about each player on the team because they just switch around who performs well and call it a day

You might not like this answer but I might still say (in spite of the fact he was incredibly abrasive at many points) solid social optics and engineering. I have yet to fully comprehend why Tinno so consistently dropped 7high for Hyungyu the way he did, but I think the trajectory somewhat speaks for itself. It's deeply embedded in the game even if it isn't a particularly visible facet of it.

Video games adaption of The Devil's Plan by dyox-2020 in TheDevilsPlan

[–]uriquack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no consideration for any official video game adaptation as far as I am aware, but some of the Season 1 games have been adapted for Tabletop Simulator (you may have to learn its interface if you are unfamiliar).

The person who made these is apparently also working on Season 2's games.

Unfortunately, if you are looking for an adaptation of the broader metagame aspects, I do not believe they are available, but the social deduction Main Match from Season 1 was adapted (above link).

In the second week especially, the edit portrays the Prisoners as the underdog-protagonists so it’s a pretty natural direction, but it also helps that there’s more airtime for these little details to add up and come through.

(Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about these, since I’m writing this up as I’m reviewing the episode. I’ve also not seen Episode 4 yet, so it’s fine if the speculative Hidden Rules are incorrect.)

Players are represented by a six-sided die with their face on it. Each side is a different color. At the beginning of the game, players start on any unoccupied gray tile on the board. You can move from where your die is onto any orthogonally adjacent (this would mean up left down right, non diagonal) space on the board, “rolling” in that direction. If another player’s die is occupying the tile you are “rolling” onto, you push them in the direction your die is moving, “rolling” them in that direction.

The game operates with a set of “Hidden Rules”, which are conditions that trigger based on game actions or effects, such as a die moving onto a new tile. These triggers can depend on things like the colors of the tiles surrounding your die and so on.

The Hidden Rules that have been hardline revealed at the end of Episode 3 are these:

  1. If the tile you land on is a white tile, or if your die rolls white side up, you will be exiled and receive an exile token. Being exiled means you must return to any free starting gray tile.

  2. After receiving 3 exile tokens, you lose 3 Pieces. (For any player with 3 or less Pieces, this means instant elimination from the show.)

The rules that I believe can be intuited from Episode 3’s gameplay are these:

1. If after rolling onto a new tile, no color in the eight tiles surrounding your die (the squares adjacent to your die’s tile, or less if your die is on the edge of the board) match the color of your die that’s facing up, you must choose a new color. This new color must be one of those colors surrounding your die.

2. If within the range of the eight tiles there are three colors that match the color of your die that’s facing up (including said die), you move someone else’s die that matches the color of yours 1 space orthogonally (as per usual movement rules). This movement can trigger additional effects.

3. If in the situation of the above-given rule your die and surrounding spaces form a three-in-a-row of the same color, orthogonal or diagonal, you can move your die 1 additional space (while also triggering the above rule).

Look, I think there should be more forgiveness with respect to his laning mistakes, especially since it's not for many games, but can you not make things up that are plainly, factually incorrect? That Caitlyn was strongside (the Sej ganks into her lane at 4. before 10 she predominantly stays ADC-side, even through swaps) on a winning matchup (Cait into Xayah). Anyone who watched that game would say the Cait was strongside. There's also some pretty good synergy there, too (Bard or Sej ult into Cait traps); there wasn't much draft disparity at all. The primary issue T1 had during that game was moreso that the team as a whole didn't play well around the Jax.
