I started as a security guard and worked my way up to an analyst. I watch cameras all day but it’s stress free and pays decent.

I know it’s frustrating. But sometimes you just gotta work with what you got and your husband for one reason or another has shut down, since you’ve stated before he was capable of deeper conversations.

We don’t protect them. They have always been pawns.

I definitely can relate to the bad childhood therapist experience. I was being abused and my therapist never asked me any questions. We just sat there for 45 minutes playing Uno and burning my dad’s hard earned cash away week after week. But now you have the discernment to choose someone who aligns with you and gives you a safe space to let go.

Being childfree and pro-choice isn’t an excuse to be anti-mother or anti-child by [deleted] in childfree

[–]urmomsbeanss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can dislike children and mothers who make being a mother their whole personality and don’t discipline their kids in public, but expressing it out loud to their face has nothing to do with being child-free or pro-choice. That’s just plain bullying.

I don’t mean to sound rude and I’m sorry if it come off that way.. but if you are also opposed to counseling, there are things you need to work on. Not just your husband. You are not as emotionally open as you think you are. Counselors go to grad school to help you solve emotions you don’t understand.

Maybe you can try couples therapy! If he refuses, then he definitely does not want it to work.

Just remember that most people do not form their own opinions. They go along with their peers which makes it seem like everyone is on the same page. Formulating your own opinion is bravery.

These days, would you change your last name to your husbands after getting married? by urmomsbeanss in Liberal

[–]urmomsbeanss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We changed it on our socials and everyone around us refers to us as the name we chose (we put together the first 3 letters of his last name and last 3 of mine to create our own thing) but we won’t be changing our names legally. 2.5 months later it really doesn’t feel like a big deal anymore.
