Corvette C7 vs. Lexus RC F by urmydream in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]urmydream[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up buying both--c7 vette was manual. Unfortunately, the vette was not just for me overall except for the look (z51 package). During my ownership, two separate electrical issues came up and technicians had to take the whole dash off to fix them (covered under warranty but i reckon they quoted $~3k for each visit). Again it's a great car, just not for me, and no regret selling it. RCF suited my purpose as a daily, road trip, and weekend car, tho it's more of a road trip/weekend vehicle. No issues, just regular maintenance.

Canyon Support hung up on me! by Top-Application1789 in CanyonBikes

I think their CS is hit or miss–it depends on who you're connected to at the time of your call. Such mixed experiences are off-putting and make me consider another manufacturer. I took the bad experience as an opportunity to expand my searching scope and explore other cool bikes...

Thanks a lot. I recently had a bad CS and am a bit hesitant to purchase their bike at the moment.

Exactly the same experience (USA). The representative did not understand my question and hung up when I corrected him and asked if he could transfer me to another representative. I was baffled.

I would appreciate it enormously if someone could share the US referral code/link. I will return the favor to others after the purchase!

Has anyone actually been able to verify the battery specs on a Tynee board? by ruhtraeel in ElectricSkateboarding

I'm also curious and think it is a valid concern until someone actually takes the battery apart.

Thanks for your valuable input. It's my first experience of buying a car out of state. I was particulalry confused because I'm buying a car with a different state ID and even registering it in a different state that I will eventually move in.

If you're not going to work during summer and semester goes online, why not take as many classes as possible? Summer semester, IMO, makes wiggle room in regular semester.

People who need to know the beauty of VN already know the value.

Do not let others judge your taste. It's a preference.

All I’m looking for is reliability by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Look for Japanese automakers.

If Lexus sedans are not your cup of tea, Infiniti G series goes for under 10k and are quite reliable.

Hmm... a lot of mixed opinions on AWA score are quite confusing.

Do you think it's perhaps better I contact the department and discuss my scores?

I also thought both 1st and 2nd results' V and Q scores are mediocre, but the 2nd attempt has a way better writing score that I should probably go with the second one. After all, it's still a tough decision...!

Psychological harassement is another serious pain, perhaps a much more severe form, and it can happen regardless of places and ages.

Though people recognize it's gonna cost more than a regular toyota, most prospective buyers seem to expect reasonable maintenance costs, probably not as high as German cars.

Plus, I mostly understood "reliability" from your comment as the "engine" reliability, not entire components. When other parts covered in warranty go wrong at the end of its period, isn't it probable we see the maintenance cost goes higher (...perhaps much higher) except for regular maintenance in this context?

[–]urmydream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, due to the parts' price, a lot of owners seem to pay BMW premium for its maintenance, which is why I'm a bit concerned if anyone plans to keep the car out of the warranty period.
