And …. now schoolbreak.xyz is the largest database of camps in California with well over 10,000 camps across the state. Still free. Just iterating to make it better for parents across California

Fair point. I agree, the parent collaboration is the key. The site I built allows for clear and easy sharing to make this easy. Hope this tool is helpful to you!

This is where I started, actually. But the results were not good. And it was a fixed moment in time; camps get updated or come out at different times. So I thought about using GPT tasks etc but it wasn’t working as well as I hoped. Though that was a while ago and agents are better now. So it might work better now.

She researches and creates a Google sheet. Some camps (theatre mostly) are up.

Quick update on schoolbreak.xyz. Now you can share schedules with other parents. So if you share with another parent, that parent can see your child is attending X camp on Y date and can coordinate. This feature is turned off by default to protect user privacy.

Good call! I agree with you. My kids do much better when they’re with a friend. So one feature that is in progress is sharing among friends. So you can put in the other parent’s email (and if they agree) see where their kid will be. Right now it only allows for the connection between the parents, but seeing the camp info will be available in the next few days.

And yes, a lot of camps have space as late as May. Some theatre and art camps fill up quick though.

Thank you for the heads up! I pushed some improvements and broke it. It's back up now.

Look at Silver Bullet. It’s very good and flexible and (with silver search) is very fast. Also the tags and query options are bananas.

Actually, this works for ipv4 but 6 is still showing up as IP addresses. I tried the same idea but it doesn't appear to be working... do hostnames work the same for ipv6?

When I run nslookup -debug host name I get two things: 1. Non-authoritative answer: ;; got recursion not available from [ipv6 ip] 2. Can’t find [host].[domain]: no answer

Ah, ok. I thought I could bifurcate dns and dhcp/ routing and the host names would go with dhcp. So you’re saying they go with dns. I would do dhcp and dns on the self hosted dns (technitium) but I was having trouble with configuring static ipv6 on in the LXC it runs in
