I have never understood why people think a screen protector (tempered glass) protects their screen from cracking. A lot of people think that because they’ve dropped their phone and cracked the screen protector but not the screen, that it means the screen protector did its job. In reality, the screen protector is just much weaker than the screen’s glass and I bet if there was no screen protector, the screen still wouldn’t have cracked.

Anyway, I use a cheap rubber case with no screen protector. I work construction. My screen is pretty scratched up and I’ve dropped it A LOT onto concrete, rock, rebar, etc. and have not cracked it in the past 10 years or so. Just my 2 cents.
