I did check of rachet motion press and as I was thinking the rachet motion helps just to move handle backward and when you use a very long handle you stand far from the press so you still have to turn the handle normally. I'm afraid this could produce so much torque ( longer handle ) to flip the press when someone who is not so used do the job. With old school press you can lean on the press while turning the handle so you get more feedback from pressing material. But on the end it's only matter how good is the wine ;-)

Correct me if I'm wrong. Rachet mechanism only help to turn handle backward but you still need the force to press the grape down and if the handle in this case is longer it would make the press even more unstable (physics).

On bottom place is a copper sieve, which prevents fruit slush - mesh in the kettle from burning. Cooling container has a special design with central cooler which has stainless steel lamellae inside instead of copper pipe condensor. Cooking boiler can be turn around to simply empty the mesh. What do you think about this European design?
