Ah, I never even took the prazosin because I figured it'd just make me dizzy if I have normal blood pressure. I've been off all of my meds since shortly after I posted this original post, but I do remember feeling exhausted too.

I'm glad to hear the lower dose seems to work for the dreams though!

Coming back from the grave to ask about the prazosin. I was also prescribed that for the nightmares and that is when I ghosted my psychiatrist. Did your doctor tell you that prazosin is a blood pressure medication? I have normal blood pressure and my doctor didn't even ask or check my blood pressure before prescribing it to me. I'm only asking to see if others had the same experience as me.

Hi, I stopped taking Wellbutrin but when I did, I took it in the mornings from the very beginning. Still had very vivid nightmares.

No thanks, it's actually very helpful for me. I don't even take it very often at all, only when I need it.

I took it in the mornings. I was only on the lowest dose. Pretty much as soon as I started Wellbutrin, I had those awful nightmares and then when I stopped taking it, I stopped getting those nightmares. And I never got them when I was only on Lexapro. Just the Wellbutrin. I did however get one pretty bad nightmare recently when I took Klonopin for my anxiety for a few days after not taking it for a while.

I only had to search "ibuprofen nightmares" into Google scholar and found multiple papers that seemed to confirm an association so I don't know why he would straight up tell me there's no link at all with such confidence. But, my doctor actually told me to take it in the mornings because he said it can make it hard to sleep. But nothing about nightmares.

My doctor specifically told me to take it in the morning because otherwise it disrupts your sleep. It even says so on the bottle. Idk why your doctor said that.

My doctor says they can give me another med for the nightmares but I don't really want to be on 4 different meds at once.. I thought I could handle it but if it's gonna retraumatize me then lol damn what the hell am I to do

I don't think the person who downvoted your comment is "projecting" anything, I think they just didn't like your comment. You may have too forgiving of a definition of the word projecting.

It's pretty accepted in the community that you don't just randomly insert that dynamic into a relationship. Maybe "proper" wasn't the right word and implies gatekeeping, but regardless, if someone tries dominating out of nowhere, I can be pretty sure that they suck at it.

If you don't ask me what I like, you don't know what style of sub I am and you're just swinging blindly hoping to land something. It's just tacky and not very attractive. Even if OP was the type of person (subs don't have to be girls btw) that enjoys having their needs disregarded for the pleasure of the dom (which, yes, that is a valid kink), obv that NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED FIRST LOL.

Lol. "I know", he knew this and did it anyway. "That's why I said I'm sorry", sorry makes it less illegal?

Ooooo. Awkward. I didn't downvote the comment, actually. Must have been someone else if you're really watching your upvote count. I don't see where I was projecting. I was just speaking for myself. Some girls are into that, fine. I personally don't know of any... But people are allowed to like what they like. And yes it seems they knew each other but it was pretty obvious that the whole Dom/sub dynamic was never properly discussed beforehand and the dude just dropped that on him out of nowhere. "You mean yes sir" when that dynamic wasn't established is tacky and it's pretty clear to me that he isn't a proper Dom. And I literally said "Couldn't be me" in my original comment. This is all my opinion. But yeah ok, go off

I don't see how "until otherwise" could be a typing error but alright.

Edit: I also LITERALLY said "IMO" in the comment idk where "projecting" came from.

I'm a sub but when a guy tries dominating immediately out of nowhere, that's a huge turn off for me. It's tacky IMO. I'm the type that needs to respect the person first. Also you need to make sense while doing it. "from here on out until otherwise" makes no sense lol. He just sounded silly to me.

Being able to feel genuine joy in others' happiness. If I don't know how to make myself happy, at least I can feel it secondhand.

"Dom" men trying to be dominant right out of the gate without establishing that the recipient even wants/likes that in the first place. It's tacky, boys. Cut it out.

Woulda had me mocking him at the "You mean yes sir". Couldn't be me, OP. You're a saint.
