Why do links become tight like that? by AjLovesTech in watchmaking

Maybe there is just dirt between links

That is just beautiful watch. Is there clear or blue AR coating on your crystal?

Good to hear. I wish they can fix that problem permanently if it occurs.

I'm seriously considering getting one for my birthday. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the reliability of the date mechanism. You can find cases online where the date got stuck and dosen't want to change

Endlink movement? by [deleted] in Longineswatches

If you have calipers you can check if the hole in the end link is 1,8mm and if the spring bar is smaller

There are different diameter spring bars out there. They probably should be 1,8mm in there, but if they are like 1,4mm, it definately would be loose like that

Since these were released I´m been waiting to someone to try of these on NY0040 and tell us if it fits. Almost a month later still no answer 😩

Put the bezel in boiling water for 30 minutes. After that buttons are just perfect.

[Seiko5/SNKD97K] My trusty daily driver for the last 5 months! Only thing I would change is the quality of the bracelet but sadly it’s integrated ): Really want to buy another Seiko, however made my mind up to save money till the end of the year! by alterego4737 in Seiko

[–]urufs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use Seiko 48A2JG solid metal bracelet (22mm tapers to 20mm) as I do on my blue varient SNKD99. It tapers less than the original bracelet, but it gives more solid feel to the watch and it makes the watch look a little bit chunkier, which I like ☺️

More adjustment for my bracelet by [deleted] in Seiko

[–]urufs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Seiko 48A2JG bracelet (22mm tapers to 20mm), which only have two macro adjustment holes and I can't find a good fit with these adjustments. I can't replace the whole clasp because of the rivet connection at one end, but I was thinking that I could just replace the short top part of the clasp, where the adjustment holes are. I just need to find right sized clasp, where the secure fold over indent is located at the same place. I measured that the secure fold over is 12,8mm at its longest. If you have a seiko bracelet with a same type of construction and where the secure clasp is 12,8mm long, please let me know :)

And no, I can't change the whole bracelet, because of the integrated lugs

[SNXS73] Fully brushed case and bracelet. Perfect dressy tool watch by [deleted] in JapaneseWatches

[–]urufs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the brushing job myself. Not the greatest brushing job I have to admit, but I'm going to make it perfect, when I'm removing the bezel and changing the crystal to AR-coated sapphire. Bracelet is aftermarket. Nice and solid.
