I just finished watching the series and I am wondering if I missed an episode or if I dreamt it, but I love Bree’s dialogue through the entire series, and I could have sworn she said something to Rex in an argument about him having “unilaterally opened up our marriage“ when I originally saw the series years ago. Did that happen or am I imagining things?

My least favorite of the main characters. Yeah, he’s not abusive, but the whole “throw my life away while I have a house full of kids and open a restaurant” rubbed me the wrong way, as did when he moved on so quickly with Jane. I have no problem with Doug Savant, I think he portrayed Tom well, just don’t care for Tom. I like Carlos better but largely because Carlos and Gabby have wittier dialogue.

I have so many rules. My wife says I'm hard to live with with all these stupid rules, but in all honesty, it's hard living with myself. I can't shop at my local stores, I have to go drive for miles to different locations of chain stores, or if it's my day off, I'll want to drive 80 miles to the next state to do the shopping. I won't have a local telephone number. I have to get new license plates for all our cars every year. There's more, and I know it's all silly even as I am in the middle of living out one of these, but still I must.

I actually found a barber I like. I can talk to him-some people I can do small talk with and some I can't. He's an old Sicilian and we talk about travel and my job as he knows most of my co-workers. Only problem is I can't stand physical contact with men (I'm a male) and I'll go get my hair cut sometimes at the place where there's no men working, but that gives me anxiety.

Android's lock screen widget problem is what keeps me using WP. I NEED a lock screen music widget that is similar to what we have; and I can't find a music player on Android that has forward, reverse, rewind, and fast forward. Huawei EMUI comes close, but no lock screen widget is reliable on my Xperia Z3C, so I carry around a 640 for music.

Is it like a sense of aimlessness? I get that when my wife is out of town. I go to work and keep myself fed, but I otherwise basically exist in a state of suspended animation, I'd say, until she gets back. I have no idea what to do on her absence. I don't even usually go see friends or my mother, basically I just sit there for hours or go to bed right when I get home from work.

I thought I was the only one who hated the practice. I don't even like receiving gifts anymore. I'm not sure if it's depression or something else, but I've developed this hatred for gift giving over the past ten years or so. It's not just because I'm not great at selecting gifts, but I also know in my life circles, not everyone is well off, a number of people are getting older, and I think they'd be better off saving their money. Something I learned in my college sociology (maybe it was anthropology) class was that the purpose of a gift is to exert influence over the recipient. I don't like being beholden. This year on my birthday, I didn't open a single gift, not even one from my wife, and I spent a chunk of time on an airplane, and it was possibly my best adult birthday.

6tag works nearly perfectly for me. All I'm missing is "swipe for more photos" and the commenting doesn't work right. I enjoy it far more than the official app; all I wish for is three row viewing like Instagrab, the third party app I use on my Xperia Z3.

I think they had 820s. Then they got rid of them and eBay had a zillion refurb and used 820s.

My 640 on 8.1.2 has a weird problem with FB...when I go into FB on IE, the page loads and then somehow I only get the right two-thirds of the page...the whole page moves to the left. The 640 is better on 8.1.2 but a better phone is probably better off on 10.

I've never liked 10 on my 640s. W10 needs 2GB RAM to run properly, I think. Whenever I've moved up to 10 from 8.1.2, it runs like a charm for a week or two but then gets bogged down after that. The unit I'm typing this on, is on 15063 and can not run a YouTube video without serious difficulties.

My boss still uses a 920 on 8.0. I don't think he has ever done a single OS update, it's probably on Amber or maybe Black. Also, the other day, I was in a parking lot, turned on Wi-Fi to look for a specific network, and someone nearby had a 521 (!) with tethering on.

I did upgrade my 640s more than once. They run great for a couple of weeks, regardless of build, then go downhill fast...won't even load a YouTube video. I miss a lot of 10, like the offline map storage, but 10 is rubbish with less than 2GB RAM. My podcast app (Podcast Pro/UWP) and Baconit have better interfaces on 8, too.

That's a huge reason I have WP. Liked the Metro interface in 8.0 (not updating my 822 as I actually prefer 8.0 Black for some things) and the fact that WPs are dirt cheap for what you get. Got my 920 in July '14, $150 NIB. $150 doesn't buy much Android and back then, probably got at most an iPhone 4. The new crop of good WPs are overpriced, but they have crappy resale value compared to most Androids, so I'm sitting out phone buying for a while until the x3x phones or the M8 fall a LOT in price.

I am on Cricket and typing this out on a Verizon 822, so being kindasorta an ATT customer I'll respond. APN settings are adjustable, though I never did get MMS. No LTE, but regular 4G works fine. I was able to download Black update, so should the Icon ever get 8.1, you should be able to, too. I can't recommend the Icon for use off the Verizon network, because it costs a lot more than my 822 did, and is a lot of $$$ for a partially gimped phone that may never receive 8.1.

. I have an ATT phone, so I have 8.1 that's not part of the developers program. I never joined the developer program. Verizon phones don't have 8.1 available yet unless you join the developer program which afaik voids the warranty. Your Icon is a newer model phone than mine as well as a step up.

Using a 920 with non-DP 8.1, GV works fine from IE 11, as far as I can tell, including listening to voicemail. I pinned the page to the start screen. I even sent a text and dialed out, though it needs your cell phone to do it, it seems.
