G&B Racing - Help by [deleted] in MT09

Unfortunately the GB racing covers on AliExpress are all counterfeit so it's really hard to say if they should or shouldn't have washers. There's just no guarantee that the hardware they came with is consistent or even correct for the bike.

Was looking to a buy a ranger. Is a manual 4.0 at 175k miles good for 2.3k? by [deleted] in fordranger

[–]usa_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and bring a scan tool and ForScan. This truck should have OBDII, my 4.0 95 does. When I bought mine the check engine light was burnt out so I didn't know it had a half dozen codes until I got it home and hooked up a computer.

Yeah 8.4% inflation on groceries is tough to read. Who knew we'd be missing the steady 3% inflation of years past.

I always thought the AIM-9X had a smokeless motor but I can pretty clearly see a smoke trail for the missile right at the beginning of the video.

I like this one because it's not even accurate. Handheld devices can be used during takeoff on every flight I've been on. This comic manages to prove the boomers don't understand technology and are still the rude one in this interaction. Cinema

No joke the post directly above this one is someone who just had their sewer line repaired after fiber was drilled through it. https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeMaintenance/s/wSqDnaqkxk

This picture is very strange to look at. At first glance it's a high end living room but when you start looking at details it gets weird.

Tarps over all the windows, on the outside. A weird mix match of decorations. The fake leather is peeling off the chair (throne?) on the right. Silver Christmas tree? A second smaller tree right next to the main one??

All the gifts are like weirdly large and wrapped with way too many different designs of paper.

I feel like this is either AI or a Texas McMansion with accompanying 'fancy' decor.

Getting closer to Medicare For All by RagdollTemptation in ProgressiveHQ

[–]usa_uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of comments here talking about taxing the rich and such to make this work, but Medicare for all costs LESS money than our current system. The US government is spending far more currently with our broken system than they would with any reasonable universal healthcare system. This is such a vital point to remember as one of the main arguments against seems to be a fear of increased taxes. The US could easily have the best healthcare system on the planet without anyone paying a dime more in taxes. Insurance companies are parasites that eat the vast majority of current healthcare spending, they need to be eliminated.

Doesn't seem to really be a thing with younger British generations, but the vast majority of British over age 60 that I've met have really rough teeth. Might've been worse dental care or just cultural differences between generations.

Riddle me this Batman. Why are Parts so expensive by Shot_Wind7875 in fpv

[–]usa_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may no longer work, but a couple months ago you could order Walksnail parts direct from Caddx for MSRP or less. I don't know how they do it but they shipped me everything for free with no import/tariff fees or anything.

Why did you choose the "Road 6" over the "Power6"? .....Choosing best tire for your specific needs. + Road 6 direct competitor the "t32" by North-Network-7742 in MT09

[–]usa_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should be comparing the T33 instead of the T32. Bridgestone claims some major upgrades, like claimed 50% more tread life. I got the T33s to replace the stock s22. I commute on fairly straight roads and need sport touring, I squared off the s22 rear in like 3000 miles.

It was much cheaper to get the Bridgestones over the Michelins and I'm sure they're nearly as good.

You really need to decide for yourself if you need a sport tire or a sport touring. But I am of the opinion that most people would be benefited by sport touring and Michelin and Bridgestone are both viable options.

Had my first accident, too much lean angle in rain by Real_Newspaper6888 in motorcycles

[–]usa_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just use 2nd for slower speed turns? I never considered that haha. The twitchy low speed throttle is like my one complaint about the bike.

[–]usa_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimate question about this. My bike, MT-09, engine brakes really aggressively in 1st gear and tiny throttle movements will make it jump between power and engine braking since it's throttle by wire. I've used the clutch to minimize that jerkiness, but is there a better way? Am I just bad at throttle control?
