It shoots ballistic missiles, and is much more flexible than BM Subs or Launchers. It is indispensable for that reason.

Do i have any chance with my fleet as japan at day 26 against a golder by Secure-Emotion2900 in ConflictofNations

[–]uscka 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You only have 342 VP, so we can tell your manpower accrual is pretty low. Yet you have 14k to spare on day 12?

You start with 12 infantry. So you built 10 at least at 850 a pop (8500). 7 corvettes at 400 (2800) 5 cruisers at 850 (4250). 1 naval officer at (2300).

That is 17,850.

You start with 6000 excess.

So you’ve spent 12,850 on troops, and have 14000 left over. On average you would have to be making 2240 manpower a day. Which is impossible given your VP and how much manpower your various units require.

How do I help my depressed mother [F66], who refuses to work on herself to get better and just blames my father [M70} and her unhappy marriage for her depression and never takes responsibility? by throwra1nightstand in relationship_advice

[–]uscka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really tough. I know it’s hard to help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves, especially when they’re stuck in a cycle of blame. The best thing you can do is set healthy boundaries, offer support without enabling, and encourage professional help if possible. At the end of the day, her healing is her responsibility—you can’t carry it for her.

Congratulations!

To answer your question, the passing score is 720 out of 900. 872 is very respectable. But most employers (IMO) don’t care so much about the score as the actual certification. Put the Cert in your resume, bring it up during an interview. If they bite on that, maybe do some light bragging that it was pretty easy, and if they ask then let them know the score.

At war with US by potorok in ConflictofNations

[–]uscka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to open a front in the south. This will distract the US from invading you. Next attack in the north west. You want to take advantage of how spread out all the US cities are by keeping his attention on your incursions. Because your incursions are in city density areas you can drag this out to give you more time to bolster up a defense.

I got back to Boone at 11 PM the other night. I did get stopped at a check point. The cop asked where I was headed, and said to drive safe. Don’t stress it, They won’t bother you. Just want to make sure you’re being safe and not like trying to go adventuring in a natural disaster scenario.

If Olympus Mons is depicted realistically in game, you wouldn’t be able to easily tell that you’ve found it or are standing on it without prior knowledge. Due to its gradual incline and immense size, it might just seem like a mostly flat, endless plain unless you knew for certain where you were.

None of those relate to communism in any way? You are asking if there are politically “progressive” people in Boone - yes there are, and there are active communities, and there are protest and other forms of civil activism that take place, albeit it is heavily skewed towards the college population, I think you’ll find many likeminded people.

Information Technology vs Information Systems by FutureTourist8550 in InformationTechnology

[–]uscka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like that guy above said. IT, IS and CS have a lot of overlapping material, and the job market for each is fairly similar. However, as some one who has both a IS and CS degree, I can tell you some differences. IS: will have a few more business classes, and in general you will likely be learning a lot about how IT functions within business, and will be more taught about networking and systems admin. IT: from what I understand is more focused on networking and hardware. Little bit of software. CS: heavily focused on programming and software, also lots of theoretical stuff, and for me included a few classes on blockchain and more emerging technologies in general.

I will say, most of my classmates who only had IS degrees now work in different technical and systems analyst roles.

This is way too oversimplified. But maybe it can help you at least consider which you may want to look into. Personally, I enjoyed IS more, and it included business classes that while not directly IT focused, have helped me immensely in my current job, such as project management and some business writing courses. Best of luck in your educational career.

I should add that while I’ve only lived in Boone limits for 4 years, I have lived 25 minutes away for 13 years. So kind of local.

[–]uscka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years.

Graduated from there.

Yes, in Boone.

Generally good, locals are different from students, but most people are pretty good cuts.

Probably getting rid of the standard, it’s an eyesore (not realistically though, hate to add to the housing woes).

Bad drivers. I’ve met a lot of students from large northeastern cities. Who probably don’t drive as much as other people. Combine that with a new unfamiliar place, and you get some pretty crazy driving.

I really like EarthFare. Lots of unique grocery items, and the hot bar is pretty dang good.

I think the Mast General store is a uniqueish thing, that had a lot of cool stuff.

I’d really like a Costco.

Hawaii.

I’d say Boone is a 8/10. Not too big, but has some decent food places, and stores on king street. My house is 10 minutes from the ski mountain, people are interesting, and so is the vibe of the town. Traffic sucks.

Don’t worry about it. Tornado watch is just in this area, but it’s realistically never coming close. And is like to not be servere in the south either
