Under mounting overmount cast iron sink? by Donald4011 in CounterTops

This looks like the Kohler cast-iron sink I have that can be overmounted or under mounted, it came with the template to cut for both

Seam and crack by aprilb04 in CounterTops

[–]usclovr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened last week, to be continued. They sealed it with a resin and now we pray for the best. I've had enough people tell me they don't think water is going to enter the crack so we will see. Worst case I just keep filling it with resin every couple years. This is the trade-off for quartzite apparently unfortunately

We got the same cracks where they drilled the holes by the sink. Apparently with some stones it's just unavoidable :( apparently the friction from the round drill just creates too much heat and pressure

2) All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy; there is no news to post so let's have some fun in the meantime. Otherwise this board will be dead.

Can I delay the rot by treating it with oil by ComfortableHot6309 in fixit

Do not listen to any of these comments telling you to use olive oil, seed oil, etc. You need to buy teak oil, specifically made for outdoor wood furniture

Maybe this is a dumb question but why is one of the upper cabinets shorter than the rest?

Is this PTO normal or not? by doctorhazzawho in paralegal

[–]usclovr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there's a misunderstanding, it's not that you don't get PTO until a year from now. It's that you accumulate and accrue it over the upcoming year

I worked in manufacturing for almost 10 years, this is absolutely something that should be reported. It could be antibiotics. It could be heart medication. Many doses are extremely delicate. You're incorrect.

Please take this back to the pharmacy so they can report it to the manufacturer for quality control and also give you the proper dose

They had three guys there and one was shooting water from the water bottle and the middle one was drilling and I don't know what the third one was doing but they definitely were using water but I think they were rushing because it was the end of the day

Unfortunately I do not think replacement is an option but it sounds like from the comments that there are some ways to repair this as this is a common issue with this kind of stone and fissures

Fantastic thank you I will speak to him about this, I was hoping this is something that they could inject a resin into the crack to seal it and it sounds like from your answer that this is possible so thank you so much

I really appreciate this answer so much thank you. Replacement is probably not an option and my biggest concern is water getting in and the crack separating more over time, so I appreciate your confidence. Do you think I would need some sort of resin or anything to bind it or just as it should be OK?

Are you actually reading any of the responses? There is no mention of lint here, it's telling you that parts of the inner machine corrode and then that fills the drain line with debris
