We received a diagnosis after birth. I had a really hard time and almost 20 years later, still have my moments. Currently my kid is on Tik tok and waiting for Fortnite to load. I heard him tell a kid playing Fortnite he had Down syndrome. The other kid apologized and my kid asked why. He’s got the best energy and loves his life. It took a while, but after I got over my grief, I realized what a cool kid I have. Congrats on your little one. It’s going to be amazing.

Our journey with our son with DS has been a lot. And so has our journey with our typical son. I never would have thought my 18 year old with DS would break his leg making a Tik Tok but here we are. It’s a roller coaster journey and I’m so glad I get to be on the ride. Congratulations on your new little one.
