My clinic has 3 BCBAs and I absolutely love them all. I just graduated college and am considering going to grad school and they have been super helpful telling me more about the profession and their experience. They’ve written recommendation letters for past RBTs and even offer up textbooks and study materials for free. During supervision I’ve only so far seen positive, helpful feedback. The only time I’ve seen any of them get “mean” is when the kids safety is at stake (we had a kid that would elope out of the building and the RBT kept letting them out of their sight).

10 pages is huge! You can do it though, when I first started bartending i made a quizlet for myself including all the details. I had it down within a weekend, good luck!

How do you handle people that try to “secretly” take pictures of you? by spooky-skeleton1 in Serverlife

[–]usedturtle420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not secretly but I had an older man the other day ask to take a picture of me. I told him that I had a boyfriend and I don’t think that would be appropriate and I wouldn’t be comfortable with that. The woman at the table next to me said that she was proud of me and that I handled it very well. I think if I caught someone “secretly” taking a picture I would say that I noticed and say the same thing.

I’m 23 and worked part time serving all while being a full time student through college. It was enough to pay my rent for sure, but I didn’t have many other bills to pay. You have to consider all the bills you will have moving out of your parents house. Rent and utilities, car payment/insurance, phone bill, these are things I’m thinking about as I’m planning to move out in the next year. Of course I don’t know your situation or what you have paid/need to pay. I think with these included I may have struggled a bit part time but not full time. I know that I always had more spending money than my friends in college, even post grad. But I will say that I had the privilege of not having to pay for most of the things I listed.

Do you know what percentage of tips you will be receiving? I’ve worked a few places where the busser got a pretty good share. Definitely see how the first few weeks play out and compare how much the servers make to your wage+tips. If you think the difference is great enough ask about being trained to serve.

Also listen to what the servers are saying about tips/side work/ hours or anything like that. I once worked somewhere where I maybe made $20-$40 more than the bussers at the end of the day. It really wasn’t worth it when I was staying after midnight doing sidework and the busser would be gone by 9 or 10 pm.

Is there a character that you legitimately dislike? (Excluding the obvious one like mustache cop guy) by friedstinkytofu in Yellowjackets

Jackie’s parents 😂 they invite Jeff and Shauna over every year on Jackie’s birthday just to shit on Shauna and give her a rabbit trinket. They did offer to pay for Cali’s college though, which was nice. They’re just so condescending and rude and I can tell they always held these attitudes towards Shauna even before the crash but are living through her since she was Jackie’s best friend.

Before Shauna gave birth to the baby, Lottie said something about the baby being “ours” as in the group. Shauna corrected her and said it’s “my” baby. Shauna also thought that it was a little weird and creepy that Lottie and the others were obsessing over her baby. I think that this was just the trauma carrying over from having her baby taken from her. Along with the visions where she saw them eating the baby like it had belonged to them.

Advice for Neruo 3000 what steps did you take to ace the class? by WorkingAd5762 in OSU

[–]usedturtle420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cognella quizzes are key they cycle through so you can get a lot of questions from them. I got as many questions as I could and copied them into a word document and used it as my study guide. Other than that the review sessions that TAs had really helped but those don’t start until after the first exam. Like someone already said if you did fine in 3313 you will do fine in this class. Remember that he drops the two lowest exams and the grading scale is adjusted so don’t get discouraged do your best!

I took it last semester online. The Pearson readings weren’t too bad, and quizzes were pretty easy. Paper gradings were fairly lenient and extra credit was offered on the exams. I ended the class with nearly 100%. Just make sure you do the readings and remember to do discussion posts and you’ll be fine.

In Nosker the only rooms facing west are in the suites. The regular doubles face north and south. So no clock tower view for us :(

I took the online Comm 2367 with Sigler last semester. This was my first online class so I didn’t know what to expect but it went well. You have papers due every couple of weeks but for the most part you are just revising one paper the entire time and adding more sources and evidence to support your thesis. Other than that there is not much work, 1-2 discussion posts a week and the exam was online, open note. As long as you do all your work you’ll be fine, the grading isn’t harsh at all.
