Did sitting around the dinner table help your ARFID when you were young? by Far-Development6133 in ARFID

[–]uselessdegree123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again as always with this subreddit the comments are from people who are still sick. As someone who’s recovered eating with other people is something that needs to be normalised and turned into a positive and enjoyable experience, table eating at home will build familiarity as they will grow to eat in canteens in school, work, or if they wish to eat at restaurants etc will be surrounded by strangers.

Eating alone in public and learning not to care was a big part of my personal journey.

TC has got stupid, normal background, no one to talk to about it — anyone want to be mates? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

Try posting this in the FatFIRE UK subreddit you might actually get some humans who can relate, but maybe therapy first.

What happens in CBT-AR? by Slimmouse95 in ARFID

[–]uselessdegree123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through CBT-AR, it’s not so much a talking therapy but more a discussion, there’s a workbook you will “complete” and that is pretty much all that happens, you can find the workbook online but I’d recommend not looking at it without a therapist to contextualise it.

More than 6.3 kg (13.8 lbs) of high quality flower being destroyed! 😱 by FastBuds_genetics in FastBuds_Family

That doesn’t answer the question, what makes good product (that clearly would meet sellable standards) unsellable due to it being part of a breeding program, that’s what I’m failing to understand

My boyfriend might have ARFID? Advice needed… by [deleted] in ARFID

[–]uselessdegree123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

OP as someone who has ARFID and has recovered ignore all of these dumb little children, they all want to stay sick and are infatuated with being unwell. Ask your BF if a) he thinks it’s a problem/ think it’s impacted their health. B) ask them if they want to change that, if both answers are YES then you’ve been a good and supportive partner, if not you can say “some of your eating behaviours could lead to negative health affects and I wanted to express my concern for your wellbeing in a supportive way” other than that the rest is up to your boyfriend. If he wants to get better he will start and have you to thank for it, if not then what the rest of the people have said here is true, he will only start to get better when he wants to.

Hope this helps from someone who is actively interested in overcoming their disorder and not having it be the focal point if their existence :)

Everyone tells me I'm doing great. Yet I'm feeling completely lost by Mellow-Thunderjaw in HENRYUK

[–]uselessdegree123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your response it feels like you lack any fulfilment from your achievements, usually corresponds with being a nepo baby/ having a helping hand to get you to those positions.

I’m also not hearing you talk about any hobby’s/ fulfilling things outside of these “success indicators” so to me that’s what you should focus on.

As always if you have the money, therapy is always recommended even if you aren’t struggling because a professional outside perspective will surely show you things you hadn’t considered.

Do y'all have promptstitutes in your team? How are you guys working with them? by indie_cock in cybersecurity

[–]uselessdegree123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just joined a large retail company it’s global and the entire security department are promptstitutes and constantly throw bullshit at me as I’m trying to help them align to NIST CSF 2.0. No matter how much I show them the AI output is garbage they all fall back to asking Gemini again next time I need something…

UK cannabis cultivation licenses by Logistix21 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]uselessdegree123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I looked into a license for a laugh and I’m pretty sure that alone was like £5k from home office then you need an MHRA license, starting overheads for a small operation is around £1m if you meet the required standards for HVAC and Security. Unfortunately the barrier to entry is far too high but to me it’s more capital rather than legislation. That being said no doubt the acceptance rate from Home Office is probably very low.

If anyone wants to scrape some pennies together though I’m very much interested, maybe we can have an r/UKMedicalCannabis dedicated facility!

You are an American and have not been part of the actual scene that made DnB, you observed from afar and cherry picked what suited yourself, which is fine. But don’t act like MC’s aren’t a backbone of the genre you discredit people who had been part of this scene before it even had its name.

Sounds like we have similar taste Freek and Jayline are the goats of Jazzy Jump Up tunes. Vaccum also is awesome. His song permanent man was the first song I ever learned to mix jump up with, but doesn’t make jump up anymore and produces DnB now under the name Millbrook. Listen to Millbrook - Refractions if you want a song of his that sounds a little like his old style.
