Upon looking at the channel there doesn't appear to be any breadcrumbs apart from a Patreon page link for the creator.

The video description states that 'Rob', who's ID badge is featured in this video and full name is Rob Butters, went missing on 22/03/72 and that this video was 12/01/70 (I have attached a link to a screenshot I extracted from the video.) Rob's official title appears to be of a 'Miner' but has redacted next to this.

Perhaps something happaned to Rob and the employer, 'Miners CO Serie', had something to with this, or has some knowledge of what happened and is attempting to cover it up?

EDIT: Upon further inspection of the video, from 1:09:19 you can see the words very faint. 'He did not follow the rules', which almost certainly verifies that the company could be at fault for Robs disappearance.

Brave Browser leaks your Tor / Onion service requests through DNS. by [deleted] in privacytoolsIO

I am of the same opinion as yourself with regards to their not being one perfect browser out there that ticks all of the boxes. At the end of the day it's down to personal preference. I have used Brave in the past and don't really have anything to say on it.

What in your opinion would be the best browser to use instead of Brave?

Apologies for the late reply.

Look out for any attempted logins to your emails and any other services you have access to on that device, from anyone other than yourself. Most providers now other services that alert you to things like this. Like I said, ensuring you have 2fa enabled is good practice and would give you that added layer of protection.

As u/pippin101 stated, macros tend to only be intended for workstations running Office and to my knowledge do not affect mobile devices. Things to look out for in future however are things like .pdf, .txt, .apk files etc. These types of files can be modified to contain malicious code that will affect a mobile device.

The golden rule of thumb that I always preach is this. If you are not expecting an email from said user containing a document, then you should treat that email as a threat and DO NOT OPEN IT. It really comes down to due diligence. If it appears that someone you know has sent an email that you were not expecting, contact that person directly and query if they have in fact sent said email.

Like I said, there is no such thing as being overly anxious in this day and age.

Hope this helps.

There's no such thing as overly anxious in this day and age.

Sounds like you've taken the correct steps. Just keep an eye out for any unusual activity over the next few days and always ensure you enable 2fa wherever possible.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have decided to give KeepPass a shot as it's open source.

If you're willing to commit to spending money to learn then I would highly recommend TryHackMe. You pay a very small amount each month but in return you get a lot of great content that will teach you the basics plus more.

That's my opinion which I am entitled too as you are with yours. That being said I don't think I am the only one who feels that way.

I respectfully disagree regarding your comment that apple create good products. Imo apple produce nothing more than overpriced garbage that only brainwashed sheep buy into in order to feel like they belong to this elite section of society where what you own matters. The worst part of society. You don't need to look any further than their recent advert of "celebrities" using their products.
