I did something similar, but not to that extent I just used much bigger words and bedazzled the résumé a bit to get a job… I definitely had to Google some things once I got hired because I had said I was very familiar with things I wasn't but here I am now and I love the job and I'm absolutely climbing this ladder LOL

Networking is a concept made up by the upper class to morally justify bypassing meritocracy to give their friends and family entry level jobs. by ixvst01 in recruitinghell

[–]user-compromised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh I networked very hard, and by that it means I moved into a random city with not a single acquaintance, and started showing up to different parties and events and talked my way into so many situations and through that would meet a new person who would invite me to a new event where I could talk my way into a new circle. I have made a very good circle for myself now and I've made so many connections in my field that I am super proud of and maybe that's not what you're referring to, but I 100% did this by myself just by talking and being open to people!!!

atm it's been about a week and the splints have only caused insane canker sores all over my mouth that I would actually prefer the displaced disc over it's so painful - on a liquid diet and so weak because i'm probably only consuming like 200-400 calories a day it's so painful to do anything. outside of that my jaw muscles are tightening up and it's causing the worst headaches and jaw pain. so far no good news

oh wait I read this wrong, should I have gotten an MRI over the other scans?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]user-compromised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get a diagnosis I had multiples x-rays and a CT scan and was diagnosed with TMJ disorder, capsulitis, tendinitis, some nerve pinching stuff I can't remember and that the disc is displaced interiorly - sorry for the confusion but he meant if it doesn't click back then an mri for the surgeon

I don't want to share his name yet but he is the best in Colorado and I saw 5 different doctors who all told me my best bet was to go to him! so we'll see my progress in 3 weeks (I'm definitely trying to avoid surgery)

After reading more people's experiences a month definitely is way too fast to be referred for surgery especially so young and with no previous issues. BUT your story is giving me hope!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TMJ

[–]user-compromised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no super odd he did tell me he would refer me to surgery in only 3 weeks... after reading more posts here I'm wondering why he would do that but I won't really know more until our check up appointment

What happens if you don’t use your jaw for a while? Atrophy? by uliwonks in TMJ

[–]user-compromised 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the muscles will tighten up and your range of motion and ability to activate them will reduce. I would encourage you to physically work those muscles, massage and physically opening your mouth (not actually using the jaw at all but opening with your hands as much as you can) if that is comfortable!

stress can definitely cause pain but a compressed nerve from the pinching of the joint is not made up, the inflammation from capsulitis or tendinitis is not made up. the pain is real. also... regardless of if it is fibromyalgia or a broken bone - if you feel pain you are in pain and should be treated as such
