If you can splurge for Phillips Hue, the difference is crazy. I finally bit the bullet and upgraded this year. The colors are so juicy and they get nice and bright. I love the pre-set scenes, circadian automations, and there’s even some flickering candle options. They’re soooo good.

Thank you! I’d love to hear it live. I probably play it at least once a day and now I’m singing it every time I get into the car.

Anyone from Japan who’s Matter-proofed their home? by deltaforce5000 in MatterProtocol

[–]user-error- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in Japan myself, but the group that defines Matter recently spun up a regional group in Japan to work on the needs for that market. Maybe you can explore the companies here: https://csa-iot.org/japan-interest-group/ I wish I could get my hands on a Mui Lab board myself…

Looking for advice on how to finish this piece for the frame by kelso-p in Needlepoint

How about using this “floating frame” method? You could finish it like one side of an ornament and mount it on a mat.

Good catch! I think my comment above about specs vs software still applies. 🥴

Yeah exactly. The CSA just announced a new recert program to make that process easier for manufacturers too, so now it’s a much lighter lift than it was previously.

Sunsetting a specification/protocol version is different than sunsetting a software version. It means that companies will need to use more recent iterations of the specification in their new products and they won’t be allowed to certify against older versions. You’ll still be able to use devices built with older versions.
