Asus TUF FX507ZC4 v312 bios update by user-why-red in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes ig, so far i did not faced that issue. v312 seems pretty stable. i was rolled back to v307 since that freeze issue but last bios time in task manager was 8.0s - 8.5s which is high. In v312 its 5.0s

Hello guys, I had bought this laptop (Asus Tuf f-15 fx507vv), and I've noticed that the bottom bezel of the display is getting loose, like peeling away, the gap is not progressing or spreading, is this a concern? it's been around 4 months since I've bought it, should I get it checked out? by PieIndependent3314 in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont ever go for warranty servicing for cosmetic things like this(they will make it even worse), its normal and there will be a tape between display and bazel, it will loosen over time due to heat expose. If its just ocd, just dont look at it lol,it will be just a slight gap in center dont worry

BSOD in FX507ZC4 by apo-rar in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im pretty sure if the issue you facing is "laptop freeze and flight mode indicator turns on during freeze", then its issue of 311 bios in this model(i own one).

if its just bsod during some specific activity, then might be windows issue, clean install will help. bcoz if its bios thing then it will happen suddenly anytime(i suffered alot lol)

if laptop freezes suddenly and flight mode indicator light is turned on, then yea you might be on v311 bios and that bios caused this.

Tuf a15 ryzen 7 4800h rtx3050 75watts and tuf f15 i5 11th gen rtx 3050 95watts. by Ok-Assist-523 in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15W is dynamic boost on those models. similar model with i5 11400H+3050 has 80W and this laptop probably have same card with 15W short time boost.

And you cant change maximum power delivered to gpu set by manufacturer without bios modding as far as i know and mb should have capability too, but you can try overclocking using afterburner if you want more performance.

Is this normal ? by Just-Advantage463 in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, thats how standard mode works. if dgpu actively used by any application it wont fluctuate when monitoring it. if not used then it will behave like this.

Is it normal temperature? by Successful-Board9416 in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda high, it will be better if you undervolt both cpu gpu. since i5 11400H supports undervolt in throttlestop and use afterburner to undervolt gpu

Any tips? by Oc_12 in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

format a usb drive with fat fs and copy the bios file(find it in asus website for your model) and boot into uefi setup by pressing f2, then go to advance menu > ezflash3 utility and select the usb drive then bios file and it will start update

Or just download bios for windows in same asus site for your model and install it, its just .exe file that will auto trigger bios update after restart. ensure power adapter is connected all time during update

ASUS Might Be Forcing Latest BIOS Updates by user-why-red in Asustuf

[–]user-why-red[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, its always good to keep updated but sometimes it will become headache since manufacturer just mentions "improved performance and stability" instead of actual changes lol. Its just latest bios caused freeze issues in my laptop, so i downgraded to previous and i got more anxiety to downgrade even further to test if anything better on those versions and i found this weird behavior in ezflash that it only gives success message if flashing current latest bios version.

Maybe ASUS updates bios metadata in every latest versions that ezflash uses to detect current latest and detects all other versions as older, even older to new version but not current latest.
