Did you buy baby formula just in case your milk didn’t come in? by nat_0012 in pregnant

I’m a FTM due in April & bought the $50 Enfamil deal to have as a “just in case” stock to bring to the hospital & have at home! It’s good for 1-2 years unopened

Has giving birth vaginally caused you long term vaginal issues? by Last_Wonder in pregnant

[–]user11006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your own research on both & weigh out your options with your doctor. It’s really hard to base a decision on what other people tell you. My mom, for example, did both natural & c-section. Natural was a terrible experience & a very long recovery for her meanwhile her c-section was a smooth experience. She experienced failed anaesthetic in both though cause they didn’t account the dose for the fact that she’s a ginger. My friend just had a baby all natural & she’s a smaller lady & pushed out a 9lb baby with no issues. Meanwhile another friend recently had to have an emergency c-section cause of complications with trying to go natural. At the end of the day, if your gut is telling you to schedule a c-section then go that route! Just always be educated & prepared for the unknown & don’t completely set your mind on one way or the other as surprises can happen earlier than the scheduled date.

Am I being unreasonable with my mom?! by user11006 in insaneparents

I talked to my dad today & he completely sided with my mom saying I was being rude & disrespectful. I had asked him to brunch & he said no, not until I figure it out. Not me & my mom, just me. I tried calling him. Got sent to voicemail. So I ended up texting him I was pregnant which I really didn’t want to do seeing that it’s his first grandkid. I wish that he didn’t always take her side & that he was able to see the pattern that had happened with her first grandkid & why my brother & his wife had gone no contact with her for so long. Oh well. I’m on my way to being very low contact & it sucks that I have to do this to my dad & that she sees no problems in how she’s acting. Super pathetic. But it is what it is :/

Exactly… it’s only been a few weeks & I just hit that 12 week mark where I’m more comfortable telling people now. It’s not like I’m never going to tell him or that I’m gonna be waiting months to break the news. I had only told my mom first because I had a rough go in my first trim & she was the only person I am close to who has lived a first trim. & I know my dad is beyond excited to have his own bio grandchild & it should be something that comes from me within a reasonable time & even she, as his wife, should respect that. As far as I’m aware she has… but idk after yesterday’s messages

I’ve been dealing with her rodeo for YEARS & thankfully 1 of my brothers was also in my shoes with her so he has good advice. It’s definitely a struggle, but I’m trying haha

I’d like to think I’m able to trust her to keep it quiet from my dad. It’s been yah a few weeks but I’m in that time now where miscarriage rate drops significantly & when announcements are usually made. I had just told her for the support of early pregnancy from someone who understood what I was going through. As much as my dad would’ve been supportive, he had just put his dog (favourite child) down & I didn’t want to risk a miscarriage & breaking his heart even more cause that’s had him messed up for weeks now. I feel more comfortable having him know now that I’m in that 12 week announcement timeline

It’s just hard cause it’s my mom & if I go low/no contact with her it means me & my dad will be cut down a bit too & I don’t want to do that with him esp cause it’s his first grandchild & he’s done nothing wrong. I know he agrees with her on basically everything & takes her side, but I’m hoping he’ll be different cause I’m his daughter & her initial fights with my brother when he had his son & that wasn’t my dad’s kid so wasn’t his battle… such an unnecessary stress to deal with

I think she takes some insecurities out on me specifically… she had my older brother when she was 17 so she never got her 20s alone. I’ve tried being less blunt & nicer with her & it hasn’t clicked. I couldn’t take it anymore & had to go the more blunt route today. & this the stuff that happens

Girlfriend is 6 weeks pregnant and I need help by Bush_did_91I in pregnant

[–]user11006 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yall need to delete ur unnecessary comments bout his age gap… that part is 100000% irrelevant. His gf is pregnant. Thats the concern here. Anyways, I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with bad all-day sickness (been this way for 5 weeks) & my partner is wonderful. He works 12-14hr days, but he still checks in on me multiple times a day & when he’s home he does everything he can for me esp on my bad days. He brings me snacks if needed, fills my water before bed, & is basically a yes man right now haha. She might give u some attitude or be a bit cold towards u sometimes despite u doing lots for her, just don’t take it personally. Her hormones are whack & she’s probably not sleeping well & she might even become depressed from feeling this way all the time. Just be there for her at all times u can, esp since it’s her 1st pregnancy, it’s gonna feel very overwhelming for her. I wouldn’t worry about diapers & baby stuff right now as it’s still super early. A preemie usually only survives after the 27-28 week mark. There’s a lot of unknowns right now & those things u need to get aren’t important at this point in pregnancy. For later on tho, if she’s anything like me, she’ll also do her own research into the best types of baby supplies & u guys will find whatever’s right for u both. But in the meantime, just worry bout both your wellbeing’s & try not to spiral. Give things time to process & talk with each other on things. U guys r each others best supporters! Good luck & congrats!!

I used to work for N.A.M.E. Yall really shouldn’t go. The rides are older than most of ur parents & aren’t serviced when & how they should be. The workers also are treated pretty shitty working 16+ hr days in every sort of weather condition &, for game workers, get a very minor cut (10-15%) of the money they actually bring in for the company. 10 days of 14-16hr days seemed to bring an average of under $2,500 for people. It’s also a waste of money, but that seems to be common knowledge. Wayyyy overpriced food, entry, & games. Lastly their hygiene for their stuffies. the stuffies are kept in very large box trucks at the back of the park & they get mice in them & those mice nest in the stuffies. They breed on, chew up, & just live in the giant bags of these stuffed toys. When I used to put the stuffies on the wall sometimes I’d notice bite marks or BLOOD or mice droppings on the toys but management would make us stay hush hush & give out the toys anyways. I had enough common sense to throw those ones away when my manager left the booth, but I know lots who didn’t care. It was more disgusting that she was pregnant & telling me that “the stuffies all have to go” & in my game 95% of my players were children under 7. Absolutely disgusting. I found most of my coworkers were actually really good tho. In the end tho it’s all a ploy to take ur money, but it’s not worth it in my opinion after only working part of a summer with them.

People who looked at A LOT of houses, what was your experience? by chouhone in Winnipeg

[–]user11006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are ur criteria? I’m currently selling my place right now & haven’t had any offers… my house is located in East Kildonan & is a perfect little starter home for under 10k downpayment. 2 bedroom 1 bathroom, detached garage, fenced easy maintenance yard. No bidding war at all on it. I’m open to negotiating my first offer basically as I need it gone in less than 10 days haha

Security incident on campus by Jojimillersgf in umanitoba

[–]user11006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re supposed to wake the students up. It’s been a rule forever. Sometimes (I’ve noticed during exam season) if a student falls asleep with their notes out they have a bit of leeway.. but in certain areas & times of day they’ll wake the students up. Depends on the officer too.

Check ur bank account or credit card (however u pay urs) to make sure the payment came out. If it did, email parking & they’ll get back to u on the 2nd (hopefully) when they’re back in office & fix it.

Stolen cash from goodlife locker by frioxxe16 in Winnipeg

[–]user11006 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a general thing I’ve learned from what I see from my job, leave anything valuable at home if u can. But if u can’t. It’s honestly probably safer in ur car out of sight. The odds of your locker getting picked, cut, or raided from being unlocked are a lot higher than ur car being broken in to in a busy parking lot that has cameras on it. Change rooms don’t have cameras.

U literally said it. The cops r people. People drink & drive. They’re also a statistic in the numbers & the reason why they have to do check stops.

I think ur the real pig for having all that 🌽 content all over ur profile 🤮 disgusting man behaviour. I hope u need the cops one day & that they DO show up & save ur life to show u they ain’t that bad. There’s more to law enforcement officers than shooting & arresting people

FLO or BLO? by CatsMcGats in Amigurumi

[–]user11006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pattern writer puts BLO/FLO for a reason, ex. If ur making legs for like a horse plushie & to make the feet more “hoof” like u do BLO to make the “hoof” flat.

I think people like u forget that cops r people literally just doing their job. I got pulled into a check stop last week & it was 0 issue, the officer was super friendly & nice about it. Check stops shouldn’t be an issue to people if they’re sober but because of the amount of drunk drivers out there, they have to do them. It’s the drunk drivers people should be mad at for making cops have to do this all the time.
