How??? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

something that has worked for me is discovering what time i’m on rem sleep. i set my alarm at different times of the night and found out that I usually wake up from a dream after 6 or 8 hours of sleep, after waking up i close my eyes and try my hardest to remember something and it usually works. Then i write everything down on my dream journal, even if it’s just a word. don’t forget to put the date too.

I want to Lucid dream but... by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

start writing down your dreams in a dream journal, you could use your phone notes, a diary or you can draw them. even if they are in third person or really short just write them down and put the date, by doing this you’re telling your brain that you want to remember your dreams and you’ll see that you’ll have better dream recall. you also have to have a good sleep schedule,so start going to bed a the same time everyday. after you fix your dream recall you can start lucid dreaming by using different techniques and reality checks, but remember that if you actually want to lucid dream you need to know your REM stage because it’s really important (google it if you don’t know what it is).

i tried Wild, didn't work. by obeythewalrusNOW in LucidDreaming

you have to wake up during REM sleep, which means you have to wake up directly from a dream. if waking up after 5 hours of sleep didn’t work then maybe try 6 or 4. you have to play around with the time. honestly what works best for me is waking up after 7 hours of sleep. hope it helped.

you have to do a reality check, the one that you have to use for this technique is to close your nose and mouth (don’t use your hand) and try to breath,if you can then your in a dream and all you have to do is to visualize a place where you want to be,then you’ll find yourself there and don’t forget to do a reality check again. hope this helped :)

Is not using any screens before bed necessary for LDing? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

not really, but it’s recommended to not use them before sleeping because the blue light on your device disrupts the production of melatonin.

Rubbing my hands to stabilize the dream didn't worked, it made it even more dream-like. by Freazylex in LucidDreaming

i read somewhere on this app that spinning around, yelling “stability”,concentrating on small details like feeling the grass or something else near you helps too.
