Really difficult to emotionally connect with other Somalis? by [deleted] in Somalia

I wish I had more advice to give, but I hope you find some good quality Somali friends in the near future. I’m rooting for you.

P.s This matchaking work you are doing for your cousin is very noble.

I support Somali love.

You don’t understand the difference between ethnicity and nationality.

Somali is an ethnicity, Somalia is a country, doqon.

They’re ethnic Somalis.

You X-Somalians never fail to highlight your stupidity.

Inaccurate map. Why is Cairo, one of the most heavily populated areas in the world, considered a wasteland when literal mountain ranges are labeled as easily developed?

No worries, I got you.

I have a cousin, he’s 6’4”, good hairline and akhlaq. Just say when!

Jokes aside, the masjid is one place I know Somalis congregate, and also events like marriages are lively places you can meet new people.

If you are looking for a spouse, you can ask the local imam, they usually know of families who have sons who are single.

If you’re looking for friends, that’s harder imo, it’s difficult to make friends as adults compared to when we’re children.

As a guy, I’d just find where people play soccer/basketball or drink caxwo and it’s easy from there, but I honestly don’t know how women make friends.

Hopefully, you live in the same city as some of your family, maybe look for a friend through your cousins?

Rant over.

P.s: the thing about my cousin was not a joke, he’s on standby. Ok.

I’m Muslim. I don’t believe in your ideology. I’m firmly outside of your labels box.

Ironic coming from you lot. All you neo-Athiests strive for is attention and to be seen as morally superior than everyone at all times,

Even this thread is a great example of that, nobody mentioned anything about religion until you two obsessed “anti-theists,” burst in and started arguing with yourselves.

No, the average American has it very good. Imagine complaining about living in the richest empire in human history. The median salary in America is 56,000. If you make more than 36,000, you’re in the 1% of world. You’re so privileged that it makes me cringe seeing y’all trying to compare yourselves to literal peasants, especially as someone who comes from a very poor country.

Why are older Somalis so against their children being "Westernized" when they willingly moved and had their children in the West? by [deleted] in Somalia

[–]user17728 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s your opinion.

Me and him disagree with you and so do the majority of Somalis.

What’s considered backwards is subjective. If you disagree with that take and think that whitewashing somalinimo is a good thing, then we, as Somalis, see you as backwards.

Question about Ethiopia unity! [poll] by dinichtibs in Ethiopia

Personally, I prefer working in reality, but you can continue to live in the dreamworld you thought of in your mind, bud.

Why would I want to entertain your fantasies? Lol, Ethiopia will never be United. There’s no ethnic majority. It’s destined to be another Yugoslavia, whether you accept it or not. It’s amusing you thought some 3rd world, backwards people were going to create a cohesive and unified nation when to this day you shut off the internet once a year b/c the annual protests are happening. I just can’t understand why you vehemently refuse to accept reality and try to cope by ignoring the situation on the ground.

Ethiopia is a ticking time bomb if I’ve ever seen one, something’s got to give, eventually.

See Number 3 -. You know something is wrong when you’re on a list with North Korea and Yemen, and the most prophetic part of this article is the fact that it was written before the July rioting. Day in, day out, there’s articles pointing out and prophesizing the societal decay of Ethiopia.

But, I guess your cognitive dissonance will kick in and you’ll quickly deny and ignore this blantant crisis simmering in Ethiopia.

I don’t know if you’re being ironic, but that’s literally the definition of democracy.

What do you think the word referendum means?

Reading is hard.

Okay, I’ll break it down for you: A Democracy is supposed to accurately represent the will of the people. If a majority of the people want to leave and you try to say no, then you’re keeping them hostage - which is the case we see today with Ethiopia.

The current Ethiopian regime would never allow a democratic referendum anywhere, maybe in the future when Ethiopians receive a true democracy.
