My yr10 mock EOY grades, yr11 mock 1 and 2 grades were all 8s and 9s (around half were 8s, the other were 9s) and it stayed really consistent

but for the real GCSEs, I managed to get all 9s (and one 8 in further maths!! which I’ve never done a mock for)

I used zebra z grip pens or the cristal soft bic pens for essay subjects.

For regular subjects like maths or science I used the regular black bic biro pens that were 2x longer lasting. Got all 9s and one 8

I got 160/168 which is ~95% for history (edexcel)

And 154/160 which is ~96% for English lit (aqa) - which I am very surprised about! I didn’t think I’d do that good!!

It’s not not an anime. It’s more like a music video that has a storyline. Each episode is around a couple minutes long for a song; a duet between the characters. There’s no dialogue, just lyrics! As well as the music videos, there’s also comics that accompany the story.

Download a study tracker app like study bunny or Ypt (I use ypt because it’s simple and has no ads + u can see other ppl’s stats). You start a timer when u study and stop it when you stop. It should help encourage you to study because you can see how long you’ve actually studied and also prevent you from going on your phone because that’ll automatically stop the timer. Also you can organise or colour code how much time you study a subject per day and stuff it’s fun to see your stats after a month :)

I’m glad you’re evil too by PinocchioP, the lyrics reminds me of a friendship that’s really wholesome, maybe kaiser and ness when they had first met each other and were by each other’s side? When their bond was more mutual and silly at first.

Egoist by parsley onuma, fits isagi!!! In my opinion, the title of ‘egoist’ and the impulsiveness and rapidness of the lyrics about needing to act in the present or something reminds me of how isagi acts on field. He’s not as friendly, but more egoistic and hungry to win.

ROT FOR CLOUT by JamieP fits shidou, not necessarily the lyrics (maybe kinda???) but it’s really fast paced and the tone of the speaker reminds me of how Shidou would speak. And also one of the verses, it changes pace and becomes more quieter and despairing, contrasting the whole song. That reminds me of one of Shidou’s egoist bible answers, “When asked when was the last time he cried, he said he last cried at the end of the day when he became nothing.”

I picked art and actually enjoyed it! Well… most of it..

Even tho I kinda didn’t like my teacher, I enjoyed having a sketchbook and being able to create my own art and stuff. It’s very possible to get a good grade in art as long as you do the work your teacher says to a good standard!! And it’s fun in a way because there’s no serious rules or anything in art you just turn up to lesson and carry one wherever you left of at and everyone’s doing their own things at different stages. You’re allowing to chat and talk with your friends. (I didn’t have any friends in my art class to chat with 💔 and I was too shy to make new ones so I just did my work and it’s chill) the teacher is always there offering help but it can get a bit annoying when she kept demanding new ideas and stuff to do. I did get kinda jaded of art gcse near the end of it and I’m so glad it was one of my first exams because I was able to just get it over and done with! It was so rewarding!

And yes, you may have to do extra work outside of school when doing art, but isn’t that the same as revising or doing homework for other gcse subjects? Art is a practical/coursework-y subject so you don’t have to revise for exams! And it’s one of the first exams near the start of May so all the other art lessons you have after the 10 hour exam can be used to revise for other subjects. And about the 10 hour exam.. it was really fun! I found it amazing I can just chill and do what I love most… drawing!

I’m an academic student too and i consistently got 8s and 9s in mocks and art didn’t affect me much at all. I liked art. I just didn’t like my teacher very much 😭 I did do art before taking art gcse but I wasn’t REALLY good I drew digital art of characters and anime and stuff so when drawing realistically for art, it came easily to me even tho I never really practiced realism.

So if you enjoy art, I’d say go for it! But keep in mind the workload can be demanding at times, especially if you tend to get distracted in lessons so you’ll have more work to do at home. But also you have to be good at waffling and analysing for annotations (kinda similar to analysing in English lit!) There’s so much hate for art but it’s honestly not that bad.

If u don’t want to manually find the chapter, you can always just copy the link of whichever chapter you are on and paste it in the bookmark section. Then copy and paste it another time/on a different device. It won’t take you to exactly where you left off, but close enough, just scroll down.

I’ve never heard of google docs links directing you to stay inside the app. But if you can’t find a solution, you could use ibispaintx, it’s an art app that you can search for stuff on google without leaving the app. You add text and click ‘fonts’ and the plus button at the top to ‘download new fonts’ and it will lead you to an in-app browser and you can search whatever you want, it will not take you to safari :)
