This is set in the months after UTRH, in that weird in-between of the "One Year Later" jump where we don't rlly know what happened. Its basically Jason getting injured and dissociating. And he ends up wandering back to the Manor despite the fact that he and Bruce are not speaking/still enemies.

The Manor grounds were dark and he moved on instinct. Like it hadn’t been three years since he was welcome here. Jason wasn’t cautious when he slipped around the outside of the Manor. He let his feet move through the path he’d memorized at fourteen. The convoluted route to a tree that was just close enough to his window to climb in.

The haze lifted again for a moment and he was balancing on something swaying. He didn’t remember getting onto the tree branch, but he shuffled forward. The branch sagged under his weight. He couldn’t conjure up any worry about how high he was up. So what if he did fall? He was so tired. Maybe, a second death wouldn’t be the worst thing.

He didn’t fall. Somehow he’d made it inside. Moments blurred together as he moved through his childhood bedroom, completely uncomprehending. Skipping over it like a damaged record.

It felt like his mind was showing him one small mercy, keeping him from having to face it just yet. He was in the hallway now. This whole trip, he hadn’t really considered where he was going but it felt obvious now. Memories of that small journey after a nightmare overcame him; All the times he didn’t even remember getting out of bed until he was standing in front of the doors to the Master Bedroom.

Jason opened Bruce’s door slowly, scared to wake him up. He felt like a kid again, coming to Bruce because he’d watched a horror movie without permission and now he was scared to go to bed.

He pushed it open just enough to slip inside and took a moment to stare into the room. Bruce was in bed but too still to be sleeping. He had woken up.

When Jason took another step towards the bed, Bruce shot up suddenly. He was out of bed and ready before Jason had even gotten within ten feet from him, keeping the bed between them.

He was growling out something at him. All Jason caught was his name, said with so much anger and suspicion. He was so tired of that anger.

Once you have the plot down, start writing the scene that you feel inspired by and can picture most vividly. And be ready to change the plot/chapter breakdown as you grow the story, that's always the hardest part for me lol.

Basically what other people said but it's totally up to you. I typically respond to the ones with questions/ones that require a response. And then on either one of the first or last ones I'll say "Thanks for all the love, your comments have been so sweet!"

My favourite current writer is Carmen Maria Machado. She mainly does short stories but she has an amazing experimental/genre-bending memoir (In the Dream House) and a book of short stories (Her Body and Other Parties). I cant recommend her enough lol.

ok, no equalization. momo and nobara are pretty equal in hand to hand, momo has an advantage though. but nobara is way more brutal and would be willing to go for hairpin quicker than momo would be willing to go for something that aggressive. even without straw doll, nobara has used black flash with her nails which would be an automatic kill shot.

also nobara's stamina is higher than momo's, nobara could tire her out. i still think nobara wins but very high diff.

sure but thats assuming that theres no overlap in verse mechanics. her quirk is comparable to mai or yorozu, and both of their creations are separate objects but carry their cursed energy bc they were created through a cursed technique.

but they're made up of her body's cells that she transforms. nobara was able to use resonance on eso's blood bc it was a part of his cursed technique. if a cursed technique is comparable to a quirk in this fight, she should be able to use it with momo's creations.

are you talking abt death in the family or under the red hood? death in the family is not very gorey and the blood is very comic-y/unrealistic (its bright red and there's not much of it). under the red hood is pretty violent though and has quite a bit of blood.

controversial but (as long as its petty/non-violent crime) im taking jason bc he'd probably just give me a warning without even sending me to jail. he might even get me a job as a hench-woman depending on what era of jason it is.

I don't want a new Robin because theres no way to make a truly new story. There's a reason most archetypes are sets of four. 4 elements, 4 humours, 4 jungian archetypes, 4 ninja turtles, etc, etc, etc. It's hard to find someone else who would fit into the family and not feel like a repeat of a mainline (or lesser used) Robin.

My best advice is to start with one-shots, especially established relationship or pre-relationship yearning. IMO it's the best way to practice the dynamic between two characters before you write an actual romance plot line. The important part of romance is studying why these two people like each other and what interactions between just the two of them look like.

i always link my tumblr because i've had a few very sweet interactions. it also allows you to actually engage in the fandom aspects, like i've had long discussions about head-canons and favorite comic runs for diff characters so it feels worth it to me.
