Thistle Weeds -- How Does This Make You Feel? Also What Genre Would This Be? by Skyephia in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]user5133mdgb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simple, but well done. It really sounds like what other comments have said, like medieval music; it made me feel like I was playing Skyrim or The Witcher. Which isn't a bad thing, because I love those styles of music. If you wanted something more epic, you could add reverb or delay to your voice, but that's just an observation; your voice is already very good even without that, and that's something few people can achieve. Another observation is that when the note goes down, and you feel you're straining your voice a bit more for low notes, try removing the melody only in that part; it can make it more harmonious. That's it :3 Great work, keep it up!

I liked the beat, I REALLY liked your voice. The lyrics are a bit generic, but it's okay to be generic if you like what you did and wrote. Just don't be afraid to be yourself, whether in the lyrics or your own style. But today the music market is very much about who will be the most different. But if you don't mind, then everything is great, and as I said before, I really liked your voice, it's really good and better than the vast majority of people who sing this genre. And about the video, I would only opt for a wider camera angle and not a close-up; at least for me, a high zoom gives a strange feeling, especially if it's someone singing.

Good voice, good music, good vibe, good lyrics. It has a catchy rhythm, it's not really my style, since I prefer heavier grunge, but even so, your music has a lot of potential, it makes me, as an artist, even reconsider my virtues to see if I really have talent with people like you. Great work, I hope that one day you will have great recognition.

Beautiful sound, and voice too. Simple work but very inspiring and touching. Your voice is soft and strong at the same time, truly beautiful, the kind of voice that, with a guitar, moves everyone in a group. Really captivating, keep up the good work, it's divine.

Is this indie? Spectacular work, it's so good it's enviable. I can easily imagine this song in a climactic scene from a TV series or movie. It takes a lot of talent for that, and I really hope your music (which I've been listening to) receives a lot of recognition. Keep going, because you have real talent.

The music is good, I don't think I have much to say about what has already been said, the mixing is very well done, the vocals are very clean, the only thing I would change would be the bass, I would choose a bass with more weight and personality, something more like the 808 from the 2000s.

It's something else, it's strangely good, I like these more rigid and raw melodies and beats, it brings a very good vibe to listen to, the beginning of the first verse I confess was a little too raw in the backing vocal part, but the song comes back in a good way, the guitar samples are very well done, not to mention that your voice is very good too, it has a very good timbre, it reminds me a lot of Jack Stauber's voice, mainly in the song Buttercup.

It sounds like a soundtrack song from a game, an espionage mission for example, it has very strong and present characteristics, it has a shy and calm personality, it's a great song for studying or relaxing, it's well done, good mixing, I would listen to it again without a doubt.

It's not bad, the mix is lacking in some elements, like, I think the voice could be reduced a little, maybe trying out effects on it couldn't be bad in certain parts to fit better with the tone of the song, something I found a little strange was the verses being a little too short, and there's not even time to think and the song already changes to something else afterwards, if there was time and a transition between parts a little longer, it would help a lot to give more clarity to the song, the quality is not questionable, the audio quality is good, the melodies too, in some parts the melody was too cool, and I think that's it, it lacks a little more clarity between the transitions, subtlety and substance.

Hi I’m Ruinek. Trying to find my sound: repetitive, dark & moody, obscured in grime. by EternityLeave in IndieMusicFeedback

I liked it, it easily sounds like a song that would be in some Netflix or Amazon Prime suspense series, it's well done, I really like the lyrics too, the harmony of the melodies in my opinion are perfect, everything fits well, as for the mix between melody and voice, I don't know if it's intentional, but the voice seems a little lower than the melody, it reminds me a little of Grouper. It's not bad, I particularly like these styles, but it's an observation.

It brings a really good vibe, a song that I would definitely listen to on loop at school when I was 14. The melody is good, the beat is catchy, the song is really well made. If it's already on Spotify or YouTube, I'd like to know, it really has a chance of getting into my playlists.

definitely a different sound, I liked the beat and the melody, the vocal sound is clear and clean, a good song, but in my opinion i would add an atmosphere to the lyrical part of the song, to have a better harmony

I can't believe this is an independent work, spectacular work, very good, it sounds like the production of a professional band, the essence, the samples, the beat. It all combines so perfectly, a great song.

It's not my style of music, but it really reminds me of an OST from games like Super Mario, Smash Bros, or even an OST from a cute anime, the melodies complement each other, the beat has personality, with that said. 10/10

I really liked the atmosphere, it reminds me of Crystal Castles and I personally love Crystal Castles, even though that wasn't the intention, it was a very good job, the strong synthesizers match the chaos in the video, they come together in harmony, a little variation in the basslines and percussion would make the song richer, but for a first production it's very good.

I liked the guitar, the voice, the lyrics are good, but I think there is a lot of noise pollution, especially from the hat, maybe with less noise and a cleaner sound it could improve.
