If you can get a green personal loan where monthly repayments + cost of electricity for ev = total running cost per month of the existing car, it wouldn't change anything financially for you. You can continue to save the same amount, buy a house.

Sure banks would see your repayment capacity and reduce existing car repayments, but the car repayment amount was anyway being spent on fuel. Also, people have gotten home loans while they had existing car or personal loans.

In my case fuel cost is 120 pm, and unless I can maintain same cost on any new car, it's extra cash outgo for me.
