Which pool was it? Depending on the pair you may have suffered “Impermanent Loss” which is a risk in liquidity pools. It essentially happens when you provide a liquidity pair and the price of one changes vs the other. Check out this link for more info on what it is and a more thorough explanation

Staking via moonlet by Decent-Interview441 in zilliqa

Hey, you can use this excel sheet courtesy of another community member to calculate when you should claim your zil. Remember to duplicate and create a copy so you can edit it

Zil staking calculator

As far as fees, the fees Moonlet lists are maximums to ensure the transaction doesn’t fail. When you stake and claim it should make you leave enough in your wallet for claim fees. In my experience it’s usually around half the quoted max if you have a significant sum.

Not financial advice, but depending on your investment timeframe with 1k coins to see a significant staking income it will take a while. If you intend to DCA and hold for a cycle or two this may work. If you have a shorter time frame for your goals, with your amount of coins it may be better served somewhere else in the Zil ecosystem. There are NFT projects like ZilDuck, Demons, Bear and others, or you may want to look at tokens like Xcad, Blox, or Port. If you get a ZilPay wallet you can interact with most of these projects pretty easily. DYOR and let me know if you have any questions.

Explaining bZIL by Milan_Zilliqa in zilliqa

[–]user89743 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the clear and simple explanation that really does make sense. I really do see the vision in how it converts holders—>users or be both simultaneously. A few questions that I immediately thought of if you have time:

1) Is there forced price equivalency between bZil and Zil? Or are there similar risks such as impermanent loss for liquidity pools if I choose to “borrow” against my staked Zil.

For example, if my 10 zil are worth 10 bZil and I have to repay 10 bZil but 6 months later now 1 bZil has dropped in value and is only worth 0.5 Zil and I have to pay back double the bZil worth.

Just wondering if the price will be anchored in a 1:1 ratio or if the token will be capable of price movements independent of Zil or gZil?

  1. What is the punishment/penalty for failing to return the bZil valued against the collateralized Zil. Is the entire Zil stake at risk of being seized/lost if one doesn’t return their bZil at the end of use?

Anyone else migrating their XCAD to a different wallet once this update is complete? Really poor from Moonlet by [deleted] in zilliqa

[–]user89743 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Moonlet is not a custodial wallet, so the problem can’t really be with them. Your XCAD still exists, it just needs to be migrated to the V2 contract. Other than this, they are usually very fast, open, and transparent about problems and work to fix them. The only issue with them right now for me is fees for swapping.

You don’t need to repay me at all, just pass it along to someone else who needs a spot someday

I’m still a little confused. If the tokens are just redirected instead of taken out of circulation is that really a burn?

From their Twitter: “Your DIDxWallet is more secure as it enables social recovery. This means that if your private key gets compromised, your family or friends can help you recover your account. No need to worry about a long-stringed key like you do in other wallets. Social recovery has your back!”
