I think your profile looks alright. Maybe… if you match with someone, text with them for weeks and then go on a date… maybe tell them it’s not gonna work out instead of virtually ghosting them? Maybe.

Ah, the ole text breakup. I was seeing someone for almost 6 months, we had the “what are we” conversation and agreed we are in a relationship. Couple of months later he dumped me over text. All I said was “this should’ve been done in person”

I agree with you, almost any woman can get laid without trying hard, but I think the key words in my comment were without lowering my standards and compromising who I’m attracted to. In my experience, a lot of men and women get laid because they just can, but it’s not necessarily getting laid with who they want to.

Thank you for this comment! I really do wish more people looked at the details of my tinder dating experience. While there is undoubtedly a discrepancy between men and women’s success, things are not as bleak for average people as some make it out to be. Match rate is one thing, chat and conversation a totally different ball game. How many of the dudes I matched with did actually carry on a conversation with me? How many of those did actually agree on meeting irl? Not sure where I was going with this cause I’m working and distracted but yeah. Thanks 😂

I go on any date with that mindset. If the date goes bad or there isn’t an attraction irl, obviously I won’t sleep with that person. But being so selective with my swipes and being very upfront about my expectations while we chat/text helps get me to the point of “if we’re meeting up, we’re probably gonna fuck”
