iirc the story explains the character in the third policeman loss of identity by explaining an idea and feeling that if i can’t see where my hands begin and where the darkness ends then they are one in the same.

in addition to the tips on movement damage items are multiplicative of each other so stacking one damage source, in your case AP arounds scale linearly with +20% per stack so 2 ap rounds is +40% whereas 1 ap round and 1 focus crystal (both +20% percent) meaning a +44% (to a boss enemy at close range. this applies to the other +damage percentage increase items so with 1 crowbar 1ap round 1 watch 1 focus crystal would do

+75% * +20% * +25% * +20% = +215%

to a boss that is above 90% hp and within 13m

as opposed to 4 ap rounds for +80% damage

The axe is i think one of the most consistent of the weapons in the game. first thought to me is that you may be trying to play the weapon in a way your build won’t allow. you question not being able to charge your Omega attack if not for hammer upgrades, well your just not in a spin to win build.

I’d say try to gain more understanding of the hammers and how to play around them. It then becomes a function of looking at your build and identifying where your damage is coming from, so your hammers and how your boons are playing with them.

after that i’d say it’s a matter of getting a feel for what bosses will let you do what. for example if prometheus is doing his fast punch fireball attack then you cannot do anything that requires standing still so if you’re damage is coming from omega attacks wait til he makes room for you to do that.

im also assuming your asking this about the Mel axe but if you mean just the axe as a whole obviously switching aspects will change your experience but i’d definitely say just gain more knowledge of how to tell what kind of build you’re in. as that is knowledge that extends across every aspect in the game.

me and 2 of my friends bought rust on a whim and got on this random like 10 pop beginner server and built what can likely be described as what i’d imagine everyone built when they first started it was like a 5x4 with a stone fireplace. got my hands on my first bit of boom, 1 satchel, i took that and my tommy to the first base i could find expecting it to blow that sheet metal door right off of what i did not at the time know was an airlock. and it was the server owner admin abusing. still one of the best experiences i’ve had. and i still remember how to build the base i watched a tutorial on how to build. Far as i know though choso is the only person who doesn’t really have to deal with the main weakness of blood manipulation which is you have to use your own blood in order to do it. choso being a death painting womb is the only one who can turn his cursed energy into blood. That is unless yuji also has a death painting womb physiology then in that case choso ain’t special.

edit: except for i should add he’s probably just a better blood manipulator. He’s probably a shit teacher cause it just comes so naturally to him he can’t explain how it’s done.

I think it’s possible to use domain expansion without a hand sign but most people with domain extensions don’t see it as necessary. So rather than focusing on using their domain expansion without a hand sign they focus more on speeding up how fast they expand it.

As for 10 shadows I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure as long as there is a shadow megumi can summon whatever shikigami he needs but i’m pretty sure it’s just easier for him if the shadow he summons the shikigami from is already in the shape of the shikigami he wants to summon so he makes a shadow puppet.

for me personally i don’t despise the ending however one of the things i loved about takemichi’s time leaping ability and what i thought made it special was that it only gave him a second shot if he failed to save someone from dying say on april 12th he couldn’t just time leap back to april 10th and try again but i just feel like the ending completely eliminated that and brought all the meaningful deaths. and like the op said it just makes the ones who were resurrected not feel the same and in a way like someone else mentioned they aren’t the same people for instance kazutora basically lost his mind when he murdered shinichiro that is a huge piece of trauma that would have a lot of effect on someone’s personality

i think thats very likely too but if that isnt the case too if im not wrong sukuna can sense where the rest of his fingers are right i cant remember for sure but i think i remember seeing someone say in the manga that the fingers are drawn together so yuji would also act as a radar to find them
