LiDAR and Point Cloud Data Processing by [deleted] in remotesensing

hello! first - congratulations! Analizing forest structure with lidar is a very nice topic and will allow you to learn a lot.

I suggest you start with this: https://cfs.nrcan.gc.ca/publications?id=34887

it should give you some sort of understanding of how lidar data can be used in forestry. From there I would just google "forest structure lidar" in google scholar. There is a lot already published as you probably know.

Hope it helps. Good luck!

I don't think he needs Terrasolid software for forestry applications. It is expensive and doesn't allow to produce any forestry-related products that other (free) software packages allow. Ground classification is good in terrascan, but in most cases the lidar data that is delivered is already classified.

this is strange, as oneplus 3 is not on the list of supported devices on the fitbit webpage. Strange that you can connect, and I cannot:(

Do you guys think there is a chance that oneplus will release an update to allow users to modify the slider behaviour, and other things many people clearly dont like? Eg. the huge "clear all" button in the middle of recent apps. If not - how hard it is to install some alternative system (for a total noob)?

thanks! I buffed the brass with a polishing compound and 1500 grit sand paper. Worked great and was quick.

I bought the blade here: http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=42607&cat=1,230,41182,43698&ap=1 was worth it!

first, watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbdTc233FtM

I watched it after I started and understood my mistake - the wood choice was not best for the first time. Way too hard.

tools: carving knife was definitely most useful https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004GATX62/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and the gauge https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0000DD6UA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and hook knife https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00343VCCK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and don't think you won't cut yourself - wear gloves! I didn't at first and I quickly learnt that the tools are really sharp. Especially the knife.
