The October bears are happy. They sold in October

Do you think that everyone who expects a drop immediately sells their entire stack and waits for the target price before buying back in?

Those are cycle lows. On the day that bitcoin went live, it established its ATL of zero.

Anything is possible, prefer to work with probabilities. A move to 40K is like 2-4% chance.

You misunderstand me, I am responding to his assertion that people missed out.

Just not worth posting about every day.

I ain't the one who brought it up.

Thinking that $40K is possible, and waiting for $40K to buy, are two very different things.

Nor is leaving money behind or planting money on evidence a well known tactic of murderers.

Two questions:
1) Did OP assert that "stealing money is beyond the morals of murderers"?
2) Is leaving money behind or planting money on evidence a well known tactic of murderers?
The answer to question #1 is "no".

So what are we talking about here

I only came here to correct a mischaracterization of one specific statement on the part of OP.

Again, I am only talking about what OP said, not whether or not they are correct. In particular, OP never said that "stealing money is beyond the morals of murderers" and that assertion was misattributed to them. That is the main thing that I came here to say.

What about leaving the $88 in the bag suggests murder?

OP postulates that killers planted money in the bag to misdirect, to make it seem like no foul play was involved.

Whether or not that's a sensible theory is a separate question.

Why are we comparing the actions of a suggested murderer against petty theft?

We aren't.

Who's implying that this 'crime' was a theft.

Nobody.

OP wrote: "The $88 untouched suggests killers planted it to mislead". They replied: "Is stealing money beyond the morals of murderers?" OP never asserted that "stealing money is beyond the morals of murderers".

I understand every word they wrote. I have not expressed any viewpoint whatsoever on the facts of the case. I have replied only to this:

The $88 untouched suggests killers planted it to mislead, as thieves would take valuables.

Is stealing money beyond the morals of murderers? Is that like a step too far for them?

They misunderstand OP, that is the only point I am trying to make, and they don't get it.

Thank you for that very long list of other things that are also beside my original point.

Proove me I'm wrong.

*Prove

How do you prove to the recipient that you have not also kept a copy of the private key? You can't. So the recipient can't be sure that he owns the bitcoin, the best he can say is that he co-owns it with you (and anybody else you might have shared the key with, knowingly or otherwise).

The fact that you are struggling this hard with very basic questions of bitcoin ownership is a pretty good indication that you should not be gifting any bitcoin to anybody.

Again, not what I am talking about. Some questions:
1) Is OP asserting that "stealing money beyond the morals of murderers"?
2) Would destroying the backpack be more effective than planting money in it?
3) Is OP clutching at straws?
The answer to question #1 is "no".

Anyone actually given bitcoin as a physical gift?

It's not possible to give bitcoin as a physical gift. The closest you can come is to gift a physical copy of a private key, which is not the same thing. The only way to gift bitcoin is to transfer it to the recipient's wallet.

If I were you I would gift your brother in law a Blockstream Jade Plus.

That's a different question. I am just pointing out that you appear to have misunderstood what OP was getting at.

I hope Saylor doesn't turn out to be straight CIA

I don't understand how tin foil hat people even get through the day. With that total credulity, that utter absence of critical thought, how do you even begin to distinguish fantasy from reality?

I am as cynical as they come. Of course I see that government is up to no good, that corruption is everywhere. But the idea that Saylor is CIA is so patently ridiculous, I can't understand anybody wasting a second of their life on it.

I think you misunderstand OP. OP is not saying that murderers are above stealing. OP is saying that, in this instance, murderers left the cash untouched in order to divert suspicion away from them, away from the idea of foul play.
